I have totally been slacking on wedding planning lately. Countdown is LESS THAN 5 MONTHS!!! AHHH! I'm so freaking nervous about EVERYTHING. My newest task is finding a style and flavor of my cake!!! We have found our baker but now we are in need of a cake. We are going with something fun and colorful. Something small for our budget and a sheet cake for slicing. We are also doing a dessert bar or a cannoli station that is included with our catering package.
Here are just a few that caught my interest.
Over the past few weeks I have really enjoyed linking up with Krystal and taking a trip down music, memory lane. Today I've posted some of my favorite music of right now. I can't wait to see what everyone else chose. I feel like I'm in a music rut lately.
Rihanna- We Found Love
I have been known to bounce around and maybe even fist pump to this one while in the car.
WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE YEAH!!!!
LMFAO-Sexy and I Know IT
I crack up every time I listen to this song. I saw the video for the first time last weekend. Its ridiculous but so funny.
Adele-Set Fire To The Rain
I can't get enough of her. Everything she does is perfection!
Demi Lovato- Skyscraper
Knowing what this girl has went through this year the song has so much meaning and effect. Its beautiful!
The Script- Nothing
My new favorite band. This song and pretty much every song by them I am in love with.
Otis- Jay-Z and Kanye
I know Kanye can be such a d-bag but I dig this song. This one is one of those sons that gets me going at the gym.
I absolutely love this band.
They are so interesting and a lot different then anything else out there.
The Fray, Heartbeat
David Guetta and Usher, Without You
Foster The People. Pumped Up Kicks
He has a lot to drink that night. He was wearing my pjs.
Last year my mom bought my xl bottoms and tshirt 2x. I guess she forgot I lost 50 pounds. Oh and I never wore a 2x. lol
Brian's Polar Bears.
In our house we make something every year to add to our home or our tree.
I love handmade Christmas decorations. Growing up my mom encouraged us to make ornaments and decorations for the house. Most of her decorations are majority handmade by my brother and I. In keeping with tradition Brian and I try to make something handmade each year. He isn't into it to much but the things we do for love.
These are the ornaments we painted last year.
I bought these wooden ornaments in a craft store along with some paints and we have these cuties.
They are perfect bottom of our tree ornaments. Bogart loves hiding under the tree and knocks all the lower ornaments off the tree.

Paint- $.50 each (I bought 8)
DIY STOCKINGS-
I bought these plain red stocking at The Dollar Tree.
He added some snowflakes and that large green thing in the middle. What do you think it is?
WE DID IT!!! Momma and I completed a 5K Turkey Trot last weekend. After eating all the goodies on Thursday and shopping till I dropped Friday I needed some exercise. It's my second one and my mother's first! I am so very proud of her. We didn't run the race but we walked. She stayed with me for the first 1.5 miles. I cut down my time to 12 minute miles which is awesome for me. My cousins also ran. My amazing track running cousin placed 1st in her age group. See the gold medal?
It was so warm most of us took off our outer layer with our numbers.
We were super proud of ourselves!!! Can you tell?
Oh and would you believe its November 26th in NY? We were sweating!
Oh my goodness it has been a crazy weekend. Seriously a non stop adventure. I have so very much to tell you. I will update on all the good details soon.
Saturday was a great day. I competed in a 5K Turkey Trot early in the day,Post about that soon and my reward for a great race was a sushi dinner with B, my best friend and her husband.
I love a fresh new white T-shirt. Its a simple outfit but jeans and a tee are really my favorite kinda outfit.
After the race today my knees and shins were pretty sore so I went with the most comfy flats I own.
Wooo, look at the tree!
We decorated Black Friday and then I stuffed all the gifts I purchased for donation under the tree.
I love this F21 necklace but the edges are so sharp and the leave cut my neck when I wear it.
Sometimes beauty really is pain.

I can't lie. I have had Thanksgiving on the brain since September. I can't believe it will be over in just a few short hours. I can't wait to start off my day tomorrow with a family hike, then visit my family to consume massive amounts of yumminess. I think I'm more concerned with what comes after Thursday. I will be torturing myself with a 5k Turkey Trot on Saturday. I will not be running this year. Instead I am going to be walking it with my momma. She has really been making an effort to lose some weight and get into shape. I may even torture myself a bit more on Friday with a 90 minute kickboxing bootcamp class. The usual 50 minute class burns about 1,2000 calories. I am just a bit concerned my legs will be like jelly and I won't be able to do the 5k on Saturday. I like being extra physical around the holidays so I don't' feel like such a fatty.
Today I am linking up with Michelle and all things that may make an appearance tomorrow.
Linking up with Krystal for the past few weeks has really been fun. I've enjoyed checking out all the other bloggers who have linked up. I especially love checking out their lists and smacking myself saying "How could I not remember that?!?!?"
Week 3- 2000s
During this stage of my life I was such a NYC club goer. I LOVED anything techno and dance based for a long time. I loved clubbing in tacky leather pants. I think I had a headband that lit up like laser beams. I am so glad I have no pictures of that! Towards my late 20s you can totally tell I changed my taste a little bit. I went from a club rat to a huge fan of small and more intimate shows. I guess thats what happens when you get old!
I loved dancing to Satisfaction when I was clubbing! I can't believe that was about 10 years ago. Spending the entire night in NYC and driving home as the sun was coming up. I can't even imagine staying up all night long anymore. I wish I was still 21! Those were great nights.
Another amazing club song.
Castles in the Sky
You can see the transition here. Yep, I went there. I got a bit emo!
Dashboard Confessional!
I fell in love with them the first second I heard them. Stolen is still one of my favorites!
Band of Horses will probably make an appearance on our wedding playlist.
I think I found them a few years ago.
Is it a shame to say I first heard them on One Tree Hill?
(Spoiler, but their soundtrack will probably end up on during bonus week)
The Fray, Look After You will also probably make an appearance on that same playlist. Saw them in concert a few years back. Man they brought tears to my eyes. I can not wait for their new album!!!!
Oh Mr. LaMontagne. I LOVE YOU! Do I need to say any more???
Butch Walker, If you don't know who he is you probably should check him out. Originally heard him when he played with the Marvelous 3 in the 90s.
David Gray, Please Forgive Me.
This song and his voice are simply amazing
Panic at the Disco
One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
They are so creative and FUN!
Black Eyed Peas, Don't Lie
Not a huge fan of them but I always loved this song!
The Weepies-The World Spins Madly On
Man have I shed a ton of tears to this one.
Erin McCarley
I just wish she would make something else!!! Love that voice!
Where did you go Erin!!!
Some other favorites:
Lose Yourself-Eminem
(I love Eminem. I really do! I like the often mean angry stuff to get me all worked up! lol)
A few weeks ago I mentioned my bestest friend got married. Jaclyn and I have been best friends since high School. I am so glad we were able to share in her special day.
The bride's mother was absolutely STUNNING. Brian accidentally cut the bride's brother's head off.
Gorgeous Maid of Honor
She was beautiful, cool, calm and collected
Her daddy looked so handsome.
St. Stephen's Church, Warwick, NY
Absolutely beautiful backdrop to the ceremony.
So happy
A man and his bubbles.
Hehe, that a girl
They were both so very happy. The ceremony was beautiful. The homily was rather interesting. Not very religious and it focused on Kim Kardashian's failed marriage. Kinda weird to start things off but ended so lovely with the priest speaking of all the stages of love.
It was truly a beautiful day. I was so happy for my best friend. We have been through so much together. So many heartaches and boy problems that it is so nice to know we have both found wonderful men to spend our lives with.
