It's OK

It's Thursday and IT IS OK

Its Ok Thursdays

Linking up with Neely and Amber

It's Ok:

- To save a bulk of my Weight Watchers points just so I could drink 2 glasses of wine last night.

- To be obsessed with Groupon lately.

- To still get sad sometimes.

- To think this has been the hardest year of my life, the happiest and the saddest.

- To spoil my nephews rotten.

- To participate in teh #naturalisbeautiful challenge with Neely and Whitney. Two days in a row.

- To teach my nephew "He is cray- cray" and "Oh no he didn't". He is 3 years old and its pretty hysterical.

- To want to spend today shopping at Old Navy just because they sent me a $10 coupon if I spend $50.

- While I'm out I might as well stop in Michael's, Christmas Tree Shop and TJ Maxx. My wallet may not survive this next week!

- To be excited for our swap reveal tomorrow even though I didn't get any goodies to blog about!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.
Enjoy

Weekend FTW...

What a fantastic weekend. I extended it just one extra day to just relax and have the day to myself. I just love days that take little planning but turn out to be the best nights. I started the day with my Fifty Shades Darker and relaxation on my deck. I LOVE book 2.

My best friends invited us out to our home town winery and beer garden. Nothing like good food, friends, and alcohol. I love my hometown. There is always something fun and interesting to do.

After a few to many glasses at a wine tasting, hard cider, white wine and Joe Momma's Milk I was out for the count. One of us had the genius idea of cooking lobster and clams at 11pm. Apparently I was slightly embarrassing in Shoprite.

I kinda remember eating this. I think it was delicious.

Sunday we cooked a turkey. I was so excited about this one. I tried once before and it was dry and terrible but this time around it was ridiculous! So amazing!
Can't wait to have a nice turkey sandwich later!
Yum.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

Hap-Hap-HAPPY...

Ahhh Thursday, we meet again. I have a bunch of things to be happy about. Linking up each week with Stephanie has really given me the insight and to really look for the happy in my life. I have a lot of it and I am so grateful. Sometimes we can be so focused on the crap in our lives we forget about the simple things that make us so happy.

Sunshine and relaxation in the hammock, my nephew and Bogart playing together, Ridiculously happy in NYC, Birthday boy cuddles, and our new favorite Pinot Noir.

Other happy thought:
-We are getting our marriage license TODAY!!!
- 24 days left till our wedding. Can't wait to see our families! I feel like the only time we have seen everyone is at funerals. Its nice to have a happy occasion.
- Tulips in bloom!
- Life with a Keurig coffee maker. Seriously, a life changer!

Linking up with Stephanie.

Bridal Shower...The Cake and a call for guest bloggers

Today is March 29, that can only mean one thing. My wedding is 1 month away. Holy Moly thats 30 days. I have started to feel the stress. With all the wedding things happening I could really use some guest posts for the last month of April and maybe a few while we are one on our honey, possibly in May. I have already heard from my awesome friend Ali but I need a few more. If your interested please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Now on to my bridal shower cake.

Check out this amazing creation!

This was the cake my very good friend Marie made for my bridal shower. Since my shower was held at a winery this was the most perfect cake. Most of my guests thought it was a prop. It was not only beautiful to look at it tasted amazing. Chocolate cake and raspberry filling. It was delicious! I am so glad we have some left over. It was truly a work of art. Marie will also be making my wedding cake so I really can't wait to see how perfect it is. In addition to this amazing cake we had cannoli dip and cannoli crackers. YUMM! My irks and momma hit it out of the park with this one!

Bridal Shower Palaia Winery

My bridal shower was held at the Palaia Winery in Highland Mills, NY.
It was perfect and so ME.
It was country, quaint, and cozy. All the tables were wine barrels and they were set close together so everyone could talk and socialize.
The weather was fantastic for March so all the windows were open and we could see the amazing trees blossoming.

The centerpieces were wine bottles filled with Wildflowers. All the labels, which were old photos of the Palaia winery were also wine barrel table tops.

Fruit, cheese and crackers for appetizers.
Main food served were wraps, and salads made by family and bridesmaids.

The favors were wine glasses with an adorable wine charm.
We all had to purchase a bottle of wine on the way out too.

My aunt came up with this adorable poem to attach to the wine glass favors.

"Kristina and Brian met somewhere along the way. They fell in love and have set their day. Thank you for joining the shower fun as Kristina and Brian prepare to become one."

It was the most amazing day. I am so grateful and beyond lucky.

Can't wait to go back and hear some local bands and enjoy some of their wine.

DIY Holidays...Wine Corks

I'm a crazed wine cork collector. Probably because we are avid wine drinkers too! B and I big fans of Pinot Noir and in the summer I really enjoy Pinot Grigio. My favorites are Smoking Loon and Mark West. We also have a bunch of local wineries where we try a lot of different flavors. Recently we bought Blueberry wine. A little on the sweet side but delicious.

For the holidays I am making it a DIY holiday so I'm trying to make a bunch of adorable crafts. I hope our family will enjoy too. I should mention I come from a family of wine lovers.

I display them in mason jars on my kitchen counter.

Purchased this small wooden serving tray at The Dollar Tree.

This part took FOREVER but I had to fit the corks just perfect. It took a few hours.
I tried to get a bunch labels to show through.
I took a picture for memory, removed them, painted it white.
After the paint dried I added them back to the tray with tacky glue and hot glue.

Its super cute and can be used for display or its a perfect size to use as a hot plate or bulletin board.
