Today my mom and I went shopping for mother of the bride dress. She does NOT like shopping, at all so this could be fun! We are very different in that respect! I love to shop. She has tried on a few dresses but refused to try anymore until I found mine. I had a very hard time finding my dress. It took trying on about 100+ dresses until I found it. So now its her turn. She is very picky about what she wears and how she looks. She has lost a ton of weight but still doesn't feel good about herself yet. She is strictly against wearing a typical dress with a little jacket. (Its the first thing she says walking into a store!) Here are a few Mother of the Bride dresses I really like.
Both of these are by Avanti. I know she would nix the jacket on the first and add some sort of sleeve to the purple.

This dress is designed by Kathy Ireland. I think its fantastic! I think my mom would look beautiful in a dress of this shape and color!
This dress is designed by Montage Mon Cheri. I see my mom being very comfortable in a dress like this. I know she wouldn't love the jacket but I think she would like it if we could create sleeves from the jacket.
I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes today.
