Mom's Christmas Wish List

Seeing how I've been kind of in a funk the last several weeks I figure the only way to really break out of it is to immerse myself in the Christmas holiday. This year my husband and I decided it was best to skip getting one another Christmas gifts. We are actually getting hardwood floors installed in our home so that is really our gift to one another. But it is the holiday season and it is kind of nice to dream. I've put a list together of a few of my favorite things just in case Santa Clause is following along with my blog this year.

Mom's Christmas list

I'm all about being comfy this year. Can you tell with my wish list above? Living with a toddler doesn't mean you get much time to relax so my wish list definitely includes some relaxation and to do so I can't think of a better way than with a comfy Victoria's Secret pajama shirt paired with a warm robe and some pink slippers. I can just see myself snuggling up after a bath filled with Lush bath bombs, shower gel and lotion. As I cuddle up with a new Christmas pillow, water bottle and using my adult coloring book. (I already have one of these and they are the most relaxing thing on the planet. I highly recommend one if you tend to be a stressed out person like me.) I even added some little extras. Last year I started a Stella and Dot charm necklace and I'd like to add a new charm. Maybe with our wedding date or my initials. To finish off my list I'd love a little Amazing Grace scents and a new Vera Bradley Scarf. You can never have too much Vera!

One really cool thing that put a smile on my face is that I won Meg's Favorite Things Giveaway on her blog! Meg blogs at My Borrowed Heaven. I "met" Meg few years back when we were partners in a Christmas gift swap. She is awesome as is her blog. Check her out!

I won a Naked Palette, a S'well water bottle, Bath and Body Works Candle and Ghirdelli Peppermint Candy! I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Thanks Meg.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is right around the corner. I feel like we were just celebrating my first Mother's Day last year. Time certainly flies by with a little one. I'm sure this one will a lot different than last year. I'll be on my toes running this year rather than relaxing like that year. Jack keeps me on my toes constantly. I should probably ask my husband to give me the gift of being on daddy duty all day long. I think I may put my feet up and have a nice glass of white wine as a gift to myself!

We don't do big gifts in our house but if we did these lovely items would certainly be on them.

mother's day

1. Sunglasses- To cover up my lovely circles under my eyes.

2. Pretty Purse- Because some times Jack's puppy back pack doesn't go with everything.

3. TIME- Above all I just want more time with my little man.

4. Stella and Dot Charms- To add to my my charm necklace.

5. Starbucks Gift Cards- Well, because.... Coffee

6. Bubbles Bath- Amazing Grace for a nice relaxing bath. It may take 10 years but I'll be prepared.

7. Pretty Pajama Pants- I just love lounging in my down time. Might as well do it in pretty clothes.

What are some of the items you're treating the moms in your lives this year?

What items are you loving this year.

Come back tomorrow for handmade gifts for mommies!!!

Steppin Out-Boyce Avenue

This Saturday we hit the historic Wellmont Theater in Montclair to see Boyce Avenue. Have you heard of them? I fell in love after listening to their cover of "We Found Love" The bonus had to be Secondhand Serenade.

Details:
Jeans and bag: NY and Co
Top: Forever 21 (Not really digging the empire waist so much)
Jacket: Target
Flats: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Stella and Dot.

After a pretty great show we found ourselves at a Sonic car hop with a hot dog and cherry limeade. Why bother being adults and getting a martini in Montclair when we can pig out at 1am in a Sonic?

Its been an exhausting weekend. Worked on Saturday, concert and spent today in Long Island with Brian's grandparents.
Can't believe the weekend is over!
Back to the grind tomorrow.
