Happies and Crappies

Well I certainly haven't done one of these in a very long time. 

Happies

- I won tickets to a Yankee game thanks to signing up for the Cystic Fibrosis Walk. I got 4 tickets for a Yankees v Red Sox game in June. We are going with my best friend and her husband. I'm looking forward to a night out with great friends. Plus, you can't go wrong with baseball, beer and garlic fries. 

- I am honestly a happy mom. Jack really lights up my life. Even late at night and early in the morning I always have a smile on my face. 

- I'm finally getting used to my hair cut. I think. 

- Our anniversary is on Tuesday. I can't believe it's been 2 years already. Last year around this time while on an anniversary trip I started feeling funny and just a few days after we found out we were going to be parents. 

- 

Crappies

- We ditched cable a few weeks back. It been a bit on a downer because I'm missing all of my Yankee and Ranger games. 

- Cutting down a work day each week has taken a real toll on our wallets. We have not been spending much and that kinda stinks but the extra day off to spend time with Jack and take him to the doctor has really paid off . 

- Losing weight has been difficult. I'd like to go to zumba class but I'm afraid it will negatively effect  my breast milk supply. I'm also worried I will I'd be so behind in case. I have forgotten 

Happies and Crappies

HAPPIES

- It's Friday and I am ready for a 3 day weekend! 

- Going to start my Christmas shopping tonight. I am usually done by Thanksgiving so I need to get my butt in gear just in case some one shows up a little early this year. 

- My OB appointment went really well yesterday. Baby is right on target. Size is good. Heartbeat is strong. My blood pressure is perfect and so is my weight! 

- Thanksgiving is less than a week away! It's my first Thanksgiving in 6 years NOT on Weight Watchers. I'm getting scared!!! 

- I ordered a dress from ASOS last week. I was so pleased with the customer service. The order arrived so quickly, the price was excellent and the dress is beautiful. I'm so happy! 

- Bogart is doing so well as we baby train him. We are trying word association with him. Each time we use the word baby we give him a treat. We make sure we say "baby" around anything baby related. 

- I finally got an iPhone this week. My LG smartphone bit the dust Tuesday and I got a 4S for FREE!!!! YAY! 

- On the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy I prepare to do something nice for some one. It always makes you feel better to help some one in need! 

CRAPPIES

- Saying crappies always reminds me of Frappies and I think I really want a Frappacino!

- Am I the only one who is having trouble pinning anything to my blog. WTF?!?! I'm so confused. Some one help.

- I've been us since 4am. I'm already exhausted and I haven't even showered for work. UGH!

- I've been really dizzy lately. At my OB they told me I was anemic. They have had these results since my last blood test on October 10th. Over a month later!!! I was pretty pissed about that. My office is usually awesome but this let me down. I need to add lots of extra iron and iron supplements to my diet in order to start feeling better. 

- A local family lost everything in a fire last weekend. I drive past the house daily and it breaks my heart. I can't help but cry. A single mom with 3 kids lost their home and dog in one night. A local gym is doing a collection for them. I'm going shopping for them this year. Usually I donate during the holidays but this hits so close to home. I'm looking forward to getting them some gift cards, food and some health and beauty supplies. Once again, it reminds me how lucky and thankful I am for all I have. 

HAPPIES AND CRAPPIES

HAPPIES

- Had an excellent doctor's appointment yesterday. We are down to an appointment every 2 weeks. This pregnancy is flying by. Even when I complain about things that are uncomfortable I will miss being pregnant. It has been a blessing.

- Brian's company invited all significant others to their upcoming charity event. That never happens. Brian always gets to go to great charity events and I finally get to take part. I'm not sure how a "Blue Jean Ball" is going to be. Sounds interesting. 

- Only 9 weeks until munchkin makes their arrival! We have gotten so much done. I'm actually surprised that 2 procrastinators like us have gotten so much stuff done!!! 

- Im going to a Mia Bath and Body Party tonight. I'm hoping to make some personalized scents and spoil myself a little bit. 

CRAPPIES

-Working tomorrow!!! BOOO! 

- My mom had surgery this week. She is doing ok but feels terrible. I feel so bad!

- I joined a swap and my goodies haven't gotten here yet so I'm unable to link up with everyone today. 

- We got the MamaRoo from my parents and the darn thing is broken so we have to take it back. Annoying!!!

HAPPIES

- Happiest of birthday wishes to my dad today!!! We will be celebrating with him this weekend. 

- It's FRIDAY and both Brian and I are off for 2 days together. He always works Saturday so I'm excited we have an entire weekend together. 

 

- Brian is almost finished putting the crib together, our curtains arrived so we are really along with the nursery! 

 

- We had such a great time celebrating Halloween with our kids at work. Plus I got to dress up the bump and hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. Brian ran out before I got home from work (7+ bags worth of candy). I stopped off for me goodies.
 

- This Monday, October 28th was Brian and my original anniversary! I always have such awesome memories of the first night he asked me to be his girlfriend. That same night after 2 weeks of knowing one another he also told me he could see himself marrying me. I guess he was right on that one.

2008 

CRAPPIES

- I got strep throat this week this week and I still feel pretty terrible. Usually when I get sick I'm able to fight it off easy. Not when I'm pregnant. It has knocked me out. 

 

- In addition to the strep I ended up in the maternity ward of the hospital this week with some terrible back pain. I guess back pain is a big deal. Turn out Baby G is very low for only 29+ weeks causing some back issues. All is ok but I need to take it easy or baby could show up a bit earlier than January. 

(The happy part of this is I was able to meet most of the nurses at the hospital. They were wonderful! They took such good care of me. Even before Brian got to the hospital they made me feel comfortable when I was pretty freaked out.)

- It's dad's birthday BUT his gifts haven't arrived yet. I ordered him a bunch of Breaking Bad stuff for him. He is obsessed! I'm hoping to wrap up a picture of them so he can open up something!!!

Happies and Crappies

Happies

- I completed my yucky glucose test yesterday. It was gross but not as bad as everyone else made it out to be. The after effects and almost fainting were the worst part. It's not easy not eating for 12 hours when your preggo. Now we just have to wait a few days to see if I pass. Fingers crossed. 

- My husband sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers this week. It was such a fantastic surprise. It is always so nice knowing some one is thinking of you. 

 - This boy makes me giggle! 

- My mom and I are going to an Autumn Lights Festival tomorrow and Brian and I are going to a Harvest Festival Sunday. I just love fall activities! 

- Baby's room paint has come in so we can start painting and getting the room together. 

- Brian and I have decided to finally get a king size bed. We are going shopping for it this weekend. I am so thrilled. Maybe I can finally feel comfy sleeping in bed again. 

Crappies

- While I was out of work yesterday we were audited. As far as I know there was one issue. Today may not be a good day at work, but it's Friday, right?

- I'm still sick. It's only getting worse!

- I got a flue shot and a t-dap shot yesterday (in addition to getting blood drawn 3 times) My arms are so sore!

Happies:

- It's already Friday. That kinda flew right by. 

- Going shopping with my mom tonight for a bridal shower tonight1 I haven't bought a lot of maternity clothes so I've been getting creative with what I'm wearing but I really want something cute to wear to my shower.

- My best friend is getting married next week and I am so excited for her. I really can't wait!!! 

- I've got a pretty great tan from vacation. Love that I can carry that summer glow into October! 

- We received our first baby shower gift from my cousin and his family. We got one of our diaper bags from Pottery Barn Kids. I can not wait to use it! 

Crappies:

- I'm in a post vacation rut!

- I've been working extra hours all week and bringing work home that I've worked on till 10 or later at night. Plus, I have to work tomorrow. I'm feeling really burnt out! 

- Since I've been so busy I haven't had time to blog about our vacation. 

- As a huge Yankee fan it was very sad to goodbye the best baseball closer of all time. Good night Sandman. Thanks for all the amazing baseball memories.

HAPPIES

- I only worked 3 days this week. It felt like heaven! I think if I could work part time I'd be a much happier person! 

- It's September! My favorite time of the year. Apple picking here I come! 

- I'm looking forward to my best friend's bachelorette party this weekend. 

- I'll be spending some time with my cousin on Sunday. Our relationship hasn't been the best recently so it's nice that we get a chance to spend some time working on it. 

- We have been hiking and walking a lot these days. My body is feeling better than ever! 

- I'm getting so many compliments on the way I look lately. It's so sweet especially when your body is growing in all sorts or crazy places and you don't feel sexy all the time. 

- Baby G moves around like crazy! FINALLY! Baby is moving around a ton as I'm typing this! The movement happens mostly at night but sometimes in the morning like today. 

CRAPPIES

- I'm very sad that my best friend lost her father over the weekend. I will be attending his wake tonight. I feel so very sad for her and her family. Sending lots of love to my friend Jess today and always. 

Happies and Crappies

HAPPIES

- Getting out early all this week and next week. I love working early hours and getting home before 5pm. I actually spend time with my husband before he rushes out to the gym and we get to cook dinner together! 

- Went to a foot and tea spa with my mother in law on Wednesday. It was pretty fantastic! I'm all about getting pampered lately!!! 

- Getting to take my mom along for our sonogram this week. She has never seen one and it was pretty awesome! We got to see the baby move, kick, fist pump (must be a Jersey baby!), and even yawn. One of the most exciting parts of having a baby is seeing the excitement on our parent's faces. It makes me so happy. 

- Getting 2 sonograms this week. Our tech forgot to measure babies arm the firt time so I go to go back. She felt so guilty I had to go back that she spent some extra time doing fun stuff. She also printed out 6 more pictures of baby. We got to watch baby drink, move his/her mouth and pull its legs over the head. Baby is now 11 ounces and the heart rate is at 139. From what they tell me at the office baby is perfectly healthy.

- Home Goods trip last night. Bought lots of goodies!

- We are going to a tomato and corn festival this weekend. Bring on the goodies!!!

CRAPPIES

- I took Bogart to the vet for senior blood work and a shot. When the tech had a needle in he jumped and game himself a nasty bruise. I feel terrible about it. He seems ok but I hate to know he could be hurting. Plus, when did my baby get to 10 years old????

- Sleep just plain old stinks lately. I've tried the couch lately but I do miss my husband and my bed.

Happies

- I'm feeling really good lately. I don't feel so yucky. People are even telling me I'm glowing.

- This week my mom and I got to spend some quality time together. We had dinner and did some shopping.

- The NJ State Fair starts today. That means all good (bad for you) food needs to be consumed this weekend. YUM!

- We introduced Bogart to my friend's son last night. He did really well. He was really inquisitive and very excited.He barked so I gave him a rawhide bone to calm him. Once we did this he was fine even when the baby cried. It gives me hope that we he will do well with our baby.

Crappies

- When I'm on my feet to much they are starting to swell. I feel like it's to early to be feeling this way.

- I slept really poorly last night. I'm really tired and I just feel like staying in bed rather than go to work even if it's Friday.

Happies

- Vacation starts at 6:30 tonight. Next week both Brian and I are off. We are not going away but instead we will be spending some time together. 

- Brian's birthday was a huge success. He was surprised and had a blast! 

- I got to see the baby again this week during genetic testing. Everything looks great. The baby moves like a crazy person, obviously like mommy! I also heard the heartbeat again. Nice and loud! 

Crappies

- I have not been sleeping well.  I can't seem to shut off my brain. 

- I had a major hormone meltdown over dinner last night. I yelled, cried and then ate 2 sandwiches. 

- Work. Everything about it. I think it makes me sad and I really think its what keeps me up at night.

HAPPIES

- It's been such a great week and it has flown by. 

- This little boy made his way into the world and into my heart. 

- Strawberry picking this weekend! 

- Brian and I are in a really great place. Marriage is all about the peaks and valleys but it's been nice to be in a happy place for quite a while. 

- I'm looking forward to the weekend. We have a busy 2 days with both our families. 

- This little fur ball. 

CRAPPIES

- It's been so cold and dreary. Yesterday really felt like November. I'd really like to see some sun and get some color. Pale is not working out. 

- I have not been sleeping well at all. All week I've been up at least 2 hours per night. I have no idea why. I just feel so wiped out. 

- My allergies will not let up. It has been 3 weeks. I sound sick but I'm not. It just feels gross.

- We got to celebrate grandma's 85th birthday last weekend. All of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were there to celebrate. It was such a great day to see her so happy. Happy Birthday Grandma. 

- This week flew by surprisingly quickly! 

- Getting to spend a lot more time with my best friend now that she is officially on maternity. Her little munchkin arrives in a couple of weeks. Last weekend we spent hanging out on her recliners watching Titanic. we felt 17 again!!! 

- We finalllllly got a kitchen table. Now I can't' wait to go out and shop for cute placemats and a table runner. Our home is finally shaping up to being a home! It only took 4 years. 

- It's been a pretty good week all around.

- Spending time with mom tonight. 

CRAPPIES

- Major blog rut. I feel like there is no creativity living in my brain these days. 

- Work...

HAPPIES 

- Our 1st wedding anniversary is coming up. I'm pretty excited. Trying to find fun things to do because Brian and I have taken 2 extra days off next week. Can't believe a year has gone so fast. 

- I'm trying to talk my husband into staying at this Bed and Breakfast for our anniversary. It's adorable plus they have an Inn dog named Quincy! I wonder if they'd let me have him for the night?

- I'm semi on the mend. This bronchitis has knocked me out. I'm back at work just in time for the weekend. I intend on sleeping the majority of the time. This medicine is making me feel even worse. Yuck! 

- I only missed 1 bootcamp class. Trust me I felt terrible getting through them being sick but it really is amazing what our body can do, even when we think we can't. Only 4 more classes! Hoping for some more results this month! I'm proud that I've avoided wine all month! I vowed to not by any alcohol and keep any in our home the last 2 months! Accomplished:)

CRAPPIES

- For me it feels some what frivolous for me to complain about the problems in my life this week. Compared to so much suffering in Boston and Texas my complaints are nothing. Yes, my job is tough, I'm under tremendous stress, we didn't get them news I was expecting, we may not have children but my loved ones are safe and I'm able to wrap my arms around them. I really can't complain about anything this week.

HAPPIES:

-Boot camp is kicking butt. I more than halfway through the April classes. My instructor approached me after class and told me how awesome she thinks I'm doing. She said she sees a huge improvement since the beginning of March. Now if I can only drop some weight, lol. More importantly I absolutely LOVE IT and I love how strong I feel.

- It's finally feeling like spring around here. Flowers are in bloom and its semi warm but I'll take it. 

- I took today off. I need a break. Mom and I are in need of some retail therapy. 

- Waiting on news that could potentially be incredible for our family. We just need some really good thoughts!

CRAPPIES:

- I am sick. I have a terrible chest cold. I really feel miserable. My chest hurts and coughing is killing me. Brian is sick too. We are both cranky and miserable. 

- A few members of my family needs a lot of support these days. Positive thoughts would be appreciated. 

- Work has really been insane lately. I feel like I'm barely keeping my head above water at work. It's such a stressful time. There are days I find myself so tired and so stressed I could cry. 

Happies and Crappies

Happies:

- Having 2 days off this past week. Made the week fly by! I'm still thinking today is Tuesday. BONUS!

- Matchbox 20 concert was ridiculous! They put on such a fun show. Two hours of constant good music. Lots of their old stuff I really love! Plus, we ate out at Cuban Pete's. I've heard amazing things about this place for years and now I know why. The food was amazing! Lots of authentic options. I went with crispy shredded beef, black beans and plantains. It was a great time with my mom and my husband!

- I am surprised but I'm really loving bootcamp. It's really difficult and I'm really sore but I love the way it makes me feel. I love all the women in class and my instructor. They are all so amazing. It is such a great and empowering environment! I've never felt better doing planks, push ups and jumping rope!!!

- I made some really great spring purchases and I can't wait for the warm weather to break them out of the closet.

- I'm now a member of the North East Blogger's Network. Check out the link on my sidebar. I'm looking forward to being part of a network and meeting some new bloggers!

Crappies:

- Looking outside my window today to find THIS. Come on its March 8th!!! I'll a little worried to even drive to work in this. We are expecting 8-12 inches but tomorrow 50 degrees.

-Bootcamp was rescheduled for tomorrow morning due to weather.

- I'm getting used to waking up at 4:45 in the morning so even on days I don't have bootcamp I'm up way to early but I did get a lot done this morning. Wiped down Brian's car, made him breakfast and lunch, washed dishes. So I guess I do feel a bit accomplished today and its not even 8am.

Happies
- I joined boot camp. Starts Monday at 5am. I can do this!!!!
- March is here!!!!
- My birthday month is here which means a birthday giveaway will be here soon.
- Going to one of my best friend's housewarming party later. So excited for her.
- Going to meet baby Christian this weekend.
- Peter Pan whipped peanut butter is the sh*t! I've eaten it twice for dinner this week.
- Two days off next week.
- Going to see Matchbox 20 in concert!



Crappies
- NY state has threatened no profit programs, just like mine, a 6% cut in all programs. I work with children diagnosed with Autism. This cut could have devastating impacts. Heartbreaking.
- Two layoffs at work yesterday.
- Bogart christened the new Jeep. We were 2 minutes from home and he puked everywhere. Shame on me for not putting a towel or blanket down for him like I usually do.
- I've gained some weight back. I was actually embarrassed at Weight Watchers this week. I just don't have the drive to do it.

Happies
- Brian bought me flowers last weekend. He knew I was feeling down and he wanted to brighten my day. He really is the rock of our family. He makes me better ever person. I want to be a better person because of him.
- Seeing how happy my friends were this weekend on their special days.
- Bogart. My little lump of fur makes me happy all the time!

- So much support and kind words from so many of my sweet blog friends.
- Made some really great progress at work.
- Snyder's Pretzel Bites- Cheddar Bacon. Yep, I'm addicted.
- NY Ranger's hockey is back- See crappies below
- Starting to think of our Valentine's Day plans. I love the idea of planning dates with my husband.
- The thought of creating a shop my closet link on the blog!


Crappies
- Last weekend in general.
- Having a panic attack for the first and hopefully last time.
- Two baby showers last weekend. Ugh, Rip my heart out.
- Ear ache that has lasted almost 2 weeks. I have a feeling its another ear infection. Thats 3 in 4 months.
- NY Rangers are back. They look like sh*t.
- This winter weather sucks! I can't take it any longer, 8 degrees is just insane! Frozen NJ for sure!


Its always good to have more happies than there are crappies!

My HAPPIES:
- Only a 4 day work week which means a 4 day weekend coming up.
-Made ME time and took 3 zumba classes this week. I'm finally remembering all of these steps and was able to dance in front with all the really good dancers.
- FINALLY started the gallery wall in my living room! Four pieces and more to come!
- Wine and movie night with my husband.


My CRAPPIES:
- Family drama.
- Gaining weight at Weight Watchers this week.
- Feeling sad that I decided not to accept some one's apology.
- Today is the 9th anniversary of my friend's Anthony's passing. He was such a wonderful person and missed by many.
