Baby Jack- 9 Months Old

Weight and Height-
Last appointment he was 17.8 and that was a couple of weeks ago. Ugh, grow Jack, GROW!!! He is 27 inches long. He eats well but just doesn't gain weight as well. He is the only one in the house, lol.

Health-
Jack is doing AMAZING. A few weeks ago I posted about his awesome test results. He may never suffer the extreme effects of his Cystic Fibrosis. We feel like we can take a deep breath! Finally. We will continue his treatments and continue to visit his specialists.

Sleep-
Jack is killing me! He doesn't sleep. He has started waking up at least 4 times a night. I don't know why. Nothing has changes. I'm in misery most days. We have tried everything since 6 months. He used to sleep so well but not anymore. I have put him in our room in the pack and play and that worked for 2 nights. We used to put him in our bed and now that doesn't even work. Sleep Jack, SLEEP!

Crying-
Jack has become very aware of his surroundings. He will cry when he doesn't see his mom or dad. He will cry going to most people besides us, his grandmas and my dad. He screams his face off at my father in law and my brother. Jack will cry in the car like some one is hurting him. He will cry if I don't feed him fast enough.

Hair-
It's such a beautiful. blonde color.

Eyes-
A gray Blue!

Clothes-
Jack is wearing 6 months. He also fits into some 9 month stuff but most of it is still big.

Feedings-
Jack is doing great with his feedings. Jack eats most pureed but we've been feeding him small bites too. He is doing well but I'm still nervous about the real food.

Routine-

Most days start at 5am. We begin with this treatments and follow that up with a feeding. He stays with my mother in law and his older cousin each day. He has a built in big brother and they have a blast together. Our nights usually contain of eating together when I get home from work. We give him a bath, we play, he nurses and another treatment after he has fallen asleep.

Social
He is so incredibly happy and friendly. He is such a flirt its crazy! He smiles at any one who pays attention to him. He loves watching older kids play. He squeals with excitement when he sees kids or dogs. He's started talking too. He says Mama, Dada, dar-dar (we think he means dog because he only says it chasing the dog.) He will say "Hi da" when Brian comes home from work. Jack reacts to people he is familiar with and its usually a huge smile. He is now interested in his cousins and smiles at them when they play.

Milestones:
-Jack is getting Baptized on Sunday and we are having a small family party.

Jack- 8 Months Old

Weight and Height-
Last appointment he was15.14 but that was 2 months ago. He has been eating solids like a beast and has packed on some weight from looking at the way his clothes fit.

Health-
Jack continues to go back to his group of specialists. We continue his nebulizer and percussion therapies 2 times a day.  He is feeling good lately! You would never even know he has cystic fibrosis. He went through blood work, another sweat test and chest x-rays last week. We are hoping all the results are great.

Sleep-
Jack hasn't gotten into a pattern yet. One week he will be up 3 times a night and the next week he will be sleeping for 6+ hours. We are still waking up a few times a night. I'm so tired!

Crying-
Jack barely cries. He is such a happy little boy but has become whiny! He still cries in the car and if I'm not feeding him quick enough.

Hair-
I call it his Trump comb over but its growing in. It's such a beautiful. blonde color.

Eyes-
A gray Blue!

Clothes-
Jack is wearing 6 months. He also fits into some 9 month stuff but most of it is still;l big.

Feedings-
Jack finally loves solid foods. I've realized his trouble with eating solids was a sensitive gag reflex. Once I realized that was the case i fed him differently. He loves bananas, peaches, squash and plums. I've made all of his food so far but I have also purchased some organic pouches of foods that are difficult  to find like pumpkin. He loves the consistency of them too. Making our own food is like another job but its really worth it!

Routine-
We have one down. Most days start at 5am. We begin with this treatments and follow that up with a feeding. Our nights usually contain another treatment after his last feeding when he's asleep.

Social

Prepare for Cute Overload- Jack's 6 Month Photos

Seriously, this kid melts my heart. I can't take it. I can't believe these were taken almost 2 months ago!!! This boy is going to be 8 MONTHS OLD next FRIDAY. I can't take it!!! He really is this happy all of the time. He barely ever really cries. He is such a ham and it really shows in these photos. A good friend of mine and photog extrordinaire Katrina has been photographing our family for years and I knew I wanted her to photograph Jack in all of his 1st year photos!

She had the awesome idea of taking his photos at a park and in a town garden in my hometown. I had no idea how great the photos and the colors would pop like they do.

I melt!

Check her out!
More importantly don't take my pictures!

There are a ton of nudies too but it is the internet so I saved those but trust me they are adorable.
There are so many it is hard to pick my favorites.
I swear I would wallpaper my entire house with these if it wouldn't seem to insane mom!

ENJOY!!!

Baby Jack 7 Months Old

Weight and Height-
Jack now weighs 15.4 and is 26 inches long!  He's still wearing lots of 3-6 month clothes. He is still small for his age and I'm hoping he puts on some weight now he is onto solids.

Health-
Jack continues to go back to his group of specialists. We continue his nebulizer and percussion therapies 2 times a day.  He is feeling good lately! You would never even know he has cystic fibrosis. He will be getting some blood work, another sweat test and chest x-rays next month.

Sleep-
Jack hasn't gotten into a pattern yet. One week he will be up 3 times a night and the next week he will be sleeping for 6+ hours. We are back to waking up 2-4 times a night this week... Pass me some caffeine!

Crying-
Jack barely cries. He is such a happy little boy. He has started crying in the car.  When he can't see me it gets him upset. If I give him my hand he will usually calm down and fall asleep.

Hair-
It's growing so well and it is getting lighter.
I still think he may be a strawberry blonde.

Eyes-
A gray Blue!

Clothes-
Jack is wearing 6 months. He also fits into some 0-3 onsies, crazy! I notice his one piece pjs are getting a little small, length wise.

Feedings-
Jack is nursing whenever he is with me. He only seems to nurse for a very short time and I feel like I'm always feeding him. I pump all day at work. He takes 7-8 oz bottles every 4 hours. He has also started solids and it has not been easy. We are making very slow progress. He has a strange gag reflex. If something touches his tongue its puke time. So gross! He really enjoys bananas and yellow squash. He has tried carrots, sweet potatoes, plums, and zucchini.

Routine-
We have one down. Most days start at 5am. We begin with this treatments and follow that up with a feeding. Our nights usually contain another treatment and feedings. We all go to bed around 11pm.

Jack loved his first adventure swinging.

Dislikes-

Mommy-
Is exhausted all the time. I'm having a tough time. I feel like I have finally hit the wall and I'm tired all the time no matter how many hours of sleep I get. I still hate being at work. Every hour I'm away from him I wish I was with Jack. I want to experience so much with him and I just feel like I'm missing a lot when I'm away. I'm sure most working moms feel the same way.
Kisses from his furry brother.
