6 Years

I've written many times that Brian and I met in an apple orchard. We were engaged in that same orchard 4 years ago. Each year we go back and it has become our little family tradition. It is even more special that we get to share this tradition with our son.

It's crazy to see how much we have changed since we first met back in 2008. Although I don't have any photos from the first time we went to the orchard together I can remember everything vividly! The first date jitters, how I felt, what I wore; it feels like only yesterday!

This year was a little different as you can imagine. Carrying a baby around the orchard was fun but it was difficult for both of us to pick apples so bringing did most of the carrying and I did most of the picking. We hung out in the orchard and watch Jack eat his very first apple. He loved it as I would have thought. This year we did do our annual wine tasting and bought some amazing Naked Flock Pumpkin Cider. AMAZING!

What are some fall family traditions your family celebrate?

Any ideas for the $28 worth of apples I bought!?!?!?
I currently have a apple crumb pie baking in the oven!
The house smells amazing.

TBT- Apple Orchard

Next weekend will be the anniversary of my husband and my first date. I can't believe 5 years have come and gone so quickly. Each year we take an annual picture in the same orchard where it all started. I love looking back each year around this time. So much has changed; from dating, to engagement, married and now a baby. I only wish we took a picture of our very first date.

This Weekend...

What a fantastic fall weekend we had. A weekend like this past one goes down in the record book as one of the greats!

Friday started off pretty great considering I took the day off and spent the day treating myself to new shoes, a hair color and cut, followed up with some crafting for our baby shower! I spent most of the day alone and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The best part was crafting Friday night while watching Steel Magnolias. I just adore that movie!

Saturday we were guest at my best friend Lindsey's wedding. It was such a fantastic day. We were so honored to celebrate such a beautiful day with amazing friends.

On Sunday we woke up early and spent our day in the apple orchard where we spent our first date and the spot of our engagement. Visiting Applewood Orchard is my most favorite day of the year. We visit Applewood every year and take lots of pictures. This year seemed a little extra special with a baby on the way. Five years later and its nice to see how far we have come.

Fall Bucket List

Today seems like the perfect day to dream of my Fall Bucket List. Why you ask? Well the temptature spiked yesterday and it was  just about 90 degrees out. When it's 90 and there is no pool option it isn't fun any more. I'm usually such a crank pot when summer ends but this year is a little bit different. A beach vacation in the middle of September extends the summer a bit longer and with a baby making his or her arrival in January makes for a very exciting time in our lives.

Fall is my most favorite time of the year. Here are just a few things on my Fall Bucket List this year.

- Apple picking at our favorite orchard.

- Fall inspired maternity pictures like this one.

- Sunday hikes with Brian and Bogart.

- Enjoy my best friend's wedding!!!!

- Visit the Great Jack-o-lantern Blaze for the first time.

- Go to the Bear Mountain Oktoberfest.

- Endulge on some cider donuts and Applewood Orchards.

- Pumpkin Picking.

- Bake an apple crumb pie, extra crumbs please!

- Have a bonfire with friends.

Memory Lane

The fall always makes me reminisce back to a time when Brian and I first met.  Now when Brian and I met all our dates revolved around fall activities, apple picking, pumpkin picking and craft festivals. Apple picking is by far our favorite. It has become a tradition. We go to the same orchard every year. We visit "Our Tree". Which is next to path leading to the pumpkin patch. Its relatively secluded and Brian swears on our first date it was the point where he said "everything seemed to click". Here are just a few pictures down memory lane.
