So Brian and I treated ourselves to a nice on New Year's Day. After several winter storms already this year we bit the big one and bought an SUV. We purchased a 2011 Jeep Patriot. Great miles and even better price!
Brian and I both drive small cars, a Civic and a Cavalier. They are probably the worst cars to drive in any type of winter weather. Brian got stuck last week for over 3 hours with his Civic. Although this baby will be a gas guzzler at least have the piece of mind that one of us will be safe in bad weather. I work a mile from my parents house and in bad weather they always come to pick me up. I'm lucky and a bit spoiled. I'll be the primary driver of this baby. I can't wait to pick it up on Friday. I am a little sad to be getting rid of my Cavalier. I've had that car since I was 22. It was a college graduation present to myself. I guess I'm just sentimental.
