Wedding Part 1, Getting Ready

Yes, it has been 3 months and I have barely posted any of our wedding photos. I've been a slacker. It hasn't been the easiest of times but moving on...

A little mimosa to calm the nerves with my girls and my brother.

Getting ready in our bridal suite was an excellent idea. There were 3 floors for us to relax, spread out and put our feet up. We needed it after our 5 am wake up, getting pretty and decorating the entire venue in 4 hours. We had a beautiful top deck where we could enjoy the beautiful lake and spy on my groom, groomsmen and guests.

To most of you the mere thought of going out for a jog is no big deal but for me its pretty huge. I never run outdoors and haven't run at the gym since May. This is a big deal for me. I have always been bit jealous of people who like to run. I never have but I'm willing to try it out again. I always think I look terrible when I run so I grabbed my kicks around 9pm and ran in the dark. It was great and I felt great. I was able to run for about 30 minutes. I took on a big hill in our development twice. I wasn't able to make it up to the top but more than half way. I wish I could have made it all the way up but I know I can with a little more work.

I have always been my own worst enemy. I get in my own head and tell myself I'm not good enough. I am in need of a change in my life and I'm hoping this may be just a little bit of what I need. I'm a bit sore today but I took a nice long walk. I'll try and run again tomorrow.

Any runners out there who have some advice for me?

Have a fantastic weekend!

It's OK

I love Thursdays! Why you ask because I can complain about all the craptastic stuff I did this week and other people do the same. Its great. I love this link up .

Its Ok Thursdays

Oh and its he "It's OK"anniversary so if you link up too you'll be entered to win a couple of goodies!!!
Starbucks and Sephora...Say no more!!!

- To get annoyed with some one who constantly complains about being miserable and not wanting to be pregnant. If she only knew how many other women would love to be in her shoes.

- To finally block that person's FB updates because I can't stand seeing the constant whining.

- To almost pee yourself in fright when nearly running into this guy while I was out running late last night:

- To love Christian Bale and what he did this week even if most people think he is a crazy, Hollywood nut case.

- To not be able to watch "The Dark Knight Rises" with out thinking of Colorado

- To not really like the Olympics or really even care about it.

- To be a bit overwhelmed at our last order of wedding pictures.

- To hate the gym! (I know, I know, terrible right?!?!)

- To still hurt 3 days after visiting a water park and jumping off cliffs like a 15 year old!

- To really not want to hear anymore crap about Kristen Stewart cheating. To many Twi-hards are having heart attacks over this entire thing. Crazy!

What is OK at your end of the world this week?

Oh How Pinteresting-Hallways to my Heart

Since my best friend started decorating her new home it has kicked me into high gear to decorate ours. We bought our house 3 years ago. After a few months we got engaged and all of our time and money went into our wedding. I realize I have neglected decorating my home! Not any more! I've been a Home Goods and Pinterest addict!

Mr. Mayer

I've been in a John Mayer kinda of mood lately.

The other night Brian and I found ourselves in the midst of a John Mayer sing off while driving in our car. We usually have impromptu dance parties when we drive because I'm a much better dancer than singer. My very vocally talented husband is a much better singer than I.  He barely lets anyone hear his voice anymore but way back when he loved to sing in school plays and even sang a solo, acoustic version of "In My Life" at his graduation.

My favorite is hearing him sing "Heartbreak Warfare"

I have so many favorites but I think my all time favorite has to be  "Heart of Life"

Spontaneous Sunday

I feel like I hit by truck. We had the most amazing day. It was completely spontaneous and for a brief amount of time I felt like the old me.

This year we got free season passes to a local water park, Mountain Creek. We shot out of water slides, jumped off cliffs, and my personal favorite, in which I did alone, the H2O No. H20 No is a 99 foot water slide. It was awesome but like I said today I'm hurting. I think it had a little something to do with this cliff jump. That 23 foot dropped kicked my arse! I'm excited to go back!

After we did a family BBQ. It was perfectly relaxing. I love spending time with our families. On our way home we drove passed the local drive in. Brian, who usually likes to plan things pulled right in and there we were watching The Dark Knight Rises.

Before I say anything about the movie I must add that I couldn't sit through that movie and not think about Colorado. Those poor people. All they wanted to do was see a movie. In the past I had seen The Dark Knight movies on their opening midnight show. It could have been anyone, any of my friends, any of us! So very tragic. My heart aches.

The movie itself was incredible. It was probably the best action movie I've ever seen. Christian Bale has always had a special place in my heart and he is so easy on the eyes. (Potential Christian Gray? Or is he to old???) I was shocked and very pleased with Joseph Gorden-Levitt. I thought his roll was fantastic.

I'm really not looking forward to going to work today. Its probably because my neck and back are on fire. I've already taken 3 Advil. I hope I start feeling better and quick!

What about you, did you do anything fun and spontaneous this weekend?
Enjoy your Monday

I think it is so important to send appropriate thank you cards especially after important events and wonderful service. I really tried to personalize things as yes I could. I hope they like them.

Its OK

You know the drill....

It's OK....

To donate a bunch of clothes and refill your closet with new goodies like these.

To buy the clothes pictured above because they were on sale with an additional 20% off!

To avoid certain blogs and Facebook newsfeed for a little while. I've decided if they make me sad or jealous I need to avoid them.

To be pissed with this whole Yahoo CEO thing not wanting to use her maternity leave. She is not like every other women out there. I'm sure she will work through her maternity leave because she has the money to do so. I'm sure she has the ability to pay a full time baby nurse and nanny to assist.

To love these heat waves! Just a reminder that summer is only 6 more weeks. AHHH!

To have not picked up my 50 Shades Freed in weeks. It stinks. I'm bored and I can't get through it.

To still feel its normal to be grieving even when people think I shouldn't be and tell me I should be over it.

To cry! Its normal to need it and want it to show I still feel.

To feel bad for our backyard guest. It looks like he is somewhat injured when he came out of the woods this week. His legs were cut and I'm thinking it was a car accident? :(

Oh How Pinteresting...

My most favorite fashion in the summer is WHITE PANTS! I love how crisp and classy they look. I have several pair. Just bought a pair of white, linen pants from Old Navy. If it wasn't hotter than h*ll in these parts I would have already worn them.

Beach Bag...

What's in my beach bag this season...
Even though I haven't been on the beach sine my bottom was planted on the pinks sands of Bermuda about a month ago.  Here is what I took along in my beach bag while we were away.

Bermuda Beach Honeymoon

Beach Bag- My all time favorite is my Vera Bradley! Its huge. It has pockets on the side for my phone and sunscreen.

Towel, I always like bright colorful towels. When I'm floating in the ocean or taking a walk on beach its always easier to see your towel on the way back. I like to get mine in Home Goods. I just bought a Cynthia Rowley for $9

Sunscreen!!!! We use 70 SPF and even with that we still got lots of color in Bermuda.

Salt spray or spray conditioner. I don't know about you but when I get on the beach my hair turns a bit Medusa like!

- Flip flops! Some of my favorites are Havaianans and Old Navy...Did you get your $1 flip flops there this weekend? I did!

A good summer read. I'm on the Fifty Shades bandwagon but I just can't seem to get through Freed. I'm kinda bored!

A cover up! I'm not the most confident so a cover up in ALWAYS in order! I  always find mine for super inexpensive at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

- Sunglasses! To bad I broke my mine on our honeymoon and had to wear my husband's Oakleys! Not the most fashionable but I was still very grateful.

Floppy beach hat. Its kind of exotic. My scalp no longer gets sunburnt. Thank the lord!

SPF lip gloss! I didn't pack this on our honeymoon and I paid the price. Holy cow, I woke up one morning with super swollen lips.

 Not a good look!
I will NEVER forget to add that again!
