2011, A Year in Review

As 2011 comes to a close I can't help but thing of all of the fantastic things that are coming up in 2012. Heck, I'm getting married!!! I have to reflect on all of the wonderful and some not so wonderful events that took place this year.

January- I felt like we did NOTHING in January.
The massive amounts of snow took over our lives and we didn't do a thing but hibernate.

February- My best friend gets engaged. We celebrate on Valentine's Day at a local winery.

March- Lots of snow. Even snow on my birthday.

April- Wedding planning the search for THE dress. Nothing!
Ended the month with the worst case of strep throat and double ear infection.
I guess I was so miserable I didn't take ANY pictures!

May-We find our wedding djs, florist, hotel and my wedding dress. My favorite part of May was really getting into blogging after several failed attempts. Best decision!
Here is a sneak peek!

June-Summer FINALLY arrived.
July- Celebrate Brian's birthday with a trip to Yankee Stadium for Old Timer's Game!

August- Best friend's bridal shower and a little storm called Irene and evacuating.

September- Beach Vacation. Best friend's bachelorette party and a penis cake.
Oh and Yankee Stadium Mohegan Sun Sports Bar and box seats.

October- Softball, Craft Fairs, Apple Picking, and a freak snow storm on our anniversary! 19 INCHES!

November- Best Friend's Wedding and I ran a 5k. Plus a Thanksgiving family hike!

December- Holiday Parties, Family and Christmas! Family, friends, love and lots of laughter!

CHEERS TO 2011 AND ALL THE HAPPINESS 2012 WILL BRING YOU ALL.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
ENJOY AND BE SAFE

New Years Fill Ins

I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact that Christmas was just about a week ago. I feel like I have been holding off on posting about Christmas to drag it out a bit longer. Each night I'm still watching ABC Family Christmas movies. I can't seem to get enough.

Linking up with Lauren
1. New Years is a great time for reflection on the past and having high expectations for the future.

2. One of my New Year's resolutions will be to drop a few more pounds before this wedding!

3. A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to stop smoking! I haven't had one in over 3 years!

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was to budget and save money to purchase a home.

5. This year I will be spending New Year's Eve with my fiance, best friend and her husband. We are starting the night off getting dressed up and heading to a local resort bar where our friend works. We will probably ring in the new year at her house.

6. If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be to ENJOY our wedding. No stress,

7. 2012 is going to be filled with a wedding and our life as husband and wife! Can't wait. Less then 4 months to go!!!

Hope you have a great New Years!
Please be safe and smart!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas Part 1

Christmas Eve was a wonderful celebration or family and togetherness. My mother once again outdid herself. Her house looked amazing and the food was even better.Christmas Eve has always been a huge party in our family. My dad's mom was a huge fan of celebrating on Christmas Eve and when she passed away right before Christmas in 1984 my mother took it over.

This year she continued with her tradition and made stuffed flounder, shrimp scampi, friend calamari, smelts, clams, spaghetti with clam sauce and mussels with hot sauce. AMAZING!

My cousins

I was not happy with my outfit selection. I looked extremely yucky.

Santa came!!!!
Santa was extremely generous!

Our family was extremely happy with their handmade gifts.  That makes me super happy!

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday.
I hope it was as relaxing and as fun as our holiday was.
