19 Weeks (4 weeks ago)

How Far Along:   19 weeks. (4 weeks ago) Things are totally different with the second pregnancy. I was so good with updates last time around.

Baby is the size of:  Heirloom Tomato

Total weight gain: 5 pounds

Sleep: Depends on the night. Most nights I fall asleep pretty easy but waking up to turn makes it pretty difficult to fall back to sleep.

Best Moment of the week: Nothing yet.

Worst Moment of the week: I'm still really upset after last week's appointment and sonogram. I think it's making me a nervous wreck.

Miss Anything: A little red wine would be so nice right about now.

Food Cravings: Sushi!!! I want it so bad but I'm staying away from anything not cooked so it just isn't the same.

Anything make you queasy or sick:
Smells. Oh my goodness, it is so bad. If I smell something I instantly start gagging. It's really the worst. Some one opened the fridge at work and some one didn't clean out their old food. Instant gag fest! I couldn't go back into the office for some time!

Have you started to show?
Yes. I'm much bigger this pregnancy. I'm much lower this time around too.

Gender: Team Neutral!

Symptoms: I've been getting terrible hip and pelvis pain still. I'm working on walking and doing yoga to help. I swear it stops me in my tracks. I get stuck with the pain and can't move for a few seconds. Totally different from my pregnancy with Jack.

Workouts: The occasional walk and yoga.

Mood
: I'm always worried. ALWAYS!

Looking Forward to:
 Feeling more movement.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. I have a few maternity jeans and regular shirts fit well. I wish the weather would finally get about 50 degrees so I can wear some dresses. Although I look like a whale in any of my dresses.

Reading: Mostly to Jack.
He loves his new Big Brother book and Big Boy Potty book!

Milestones: Baby's development has exploded. Baby's brain is designed to hear, smell, taste. Baby may even be able to hear my voice! I should probaby watch thos F-bombs from here on out.

See my pregnancy with Jack HERE.

38 Bumpdate

So I skipped out on week 37. It was a complete blur with Christmas and everything else happening these days! Oops.

How Far along: 38 Weeks, 6 days

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a PUMPKIN! Good lord that is probably why I'm so uncomfortable. Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. Baby's head is now about the same circumference as her abdomen.

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 40. I haven't gained in my last 2 appointments but I feel like I've been eating so much more these days.

Sleep: Most nights it is pretty tough.

Best moment of the week:

* Christmas was pretty great. Spending it with family and friends always makes the holiday so much nicer.
* Baby's head is down, I'm 100% effaced and 1 centimeter dilated as of my last appointment. The doctor gave me hope that baby would be coming soon.

Worst Moment of the Week:
* While out ot dinner on Saturday night I had some significant contractions. They started 8 minutes apart. We drove home and they began to space themselves out to 16 minutes and then disappeared. I really thought it was go time but nothing. This baby is a trickster!!!
* I am so nervous about this blizzard about to hit. It has been making me sick for days. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow. I've been feeling funking and I'm so scared to go into labor tonight. My husband is going to be an hour away. I have a feeling he is getting stuck at work late and then at his parent's house. I pushed my doctor's appointment up to this afternoon to see if anything is going on.

Miss Anything:
* I miss feeling good about my body image. I'm so close to meeting baby it doesn't matter so much any more.

Food Cravings:
* Not much these days but I indulged Christmas and Christmas Eve big time!!!

Anything make you queasy:
* Nasty acid reflux wakes me up every night. It sucks!

Have you started to show? Oh yes, have you seen that picture up there?!?!

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms: Swelling, trouble sleeping, soreness in my hips and my lady bits all the time.

Workouts: I've been doing a lot of walking these days. I also tried to walk up and down the steps a lot the past few days in hopes of getting baby moving further south!

Mood:  I've been feeling very sensative lately. I'm sure it has been the hormones. I can't say its a terrible thing either. I'm feeling so much closer to my family and friends because of it.

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! Come on little one. I can't wait to meet you

Maternity Clothes: Yes!!! plus lots of yoga pants!

Stretchmarks: There are a few.UGh!

Rings on or off? Haha, these monster fingers haven't seen a ring in weeks!

Bellybutton in or out? It's sort of in between still.

This week I:
* Enjoyed lots of family time.
* Realized how hard it has been working a full 8 hours this far along in my pregnancy. It has gotten much tougher over the last week.
Baby Update:
* Organs have matured and can function outside of the body!
* Our baby may have an inch of hair already.
* Baby is head down and getting ready to enter this crazy little world.

Bumpdate- 36 Weeks

Some one wants to get in on the 36 week picture!

How Far along: 36 Weeks and 4 days.

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a head of romaine lettuce.

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 35. I can tell I have major water weight going on. The swelling has definately helped with the weight gain.

Sleep: I'm usually up several times at night for either a position change, bathroom break or because my snoring is so loud I'm waking myself up.

Best moment of the week:

* Being snowed in with my husband. Doing lots of cooking, baking and wrapping gifts together.
* Hearing the baby is 80% effaced at my appointment last week. Oh baby!!!

Worst Moment of the Week:
* Getting stuck this morning in the snow with out my Jeep. For the first time during the nasty weather I had such an intense fear for baby and I. I felt like it was a mini panic attack. I cried and cried at the thought of getting to work.

Miss Anything:
* Feeling good in my own skin. Feeling attractive.

Food Cravings:
* Not much. I find it super funny that my husband craves more food lately than I do!

Anything make you queasy:
* Nasty acid reflux makes my stomach sick most nights.

Have you started to show? I really have and people have started to mention how BIG I am.

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms: Swelling, trouble sleeping, soreness in my hips and nether region all the time.

Workouts: Taking the dog out and shoveling snow was the extent of my physical activity. I swear lugging around this baby is exercise enough!

Mood: I'm still really hormonal. I have been hard on myself lately. I feel heavy and very unattractive. I often wonder if my husband will ever find me attractive again.

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! I'm getting so excited to see if we are havng a girl or a boy!

Maternity Clothes: Yes plus lots of yoga pants!

Stretchmarks: Just noticed a few today.

Rings on or off? Haha, these monster fingers haven't seen a ring in weeks!

Bellybutton in or out? It's sort of in between still.

This week I:
* Did a ton of Christmas shopping and wrapping! All of the goodies are under the tree and I can't wait to distribute.

* Went to a Christmas concert and baby bounced the entire time. Baby loves music!

Baby Update:

* Baby is doing great.
* Baby is head down and getting ready to enter this crazy little world.

It's a bit blurry but I can't get enough of how funny he is.

Bumpdate- 35 weeks

Like our mess of Christmas presents hiding under our tree.
Clearly there are no secrets in this picture!
How Far along: 35weeks and 4 days. (Excuse my mistake from yesterday. I said 36 weeks.) My due date is 30 days from today

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a honey dew melon.Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 35. I can tell I have major water weight going on. I no longer have legs. I believe my thighs go straight into my shoes. There is nothing sexy about it!

Sleep: Surprisingly it has gotten a little bit better since last week. I slept through the night 2 nights last week. That is huge for me!!!

Best moment of the week:

* Enjoying holiday activities.
* At my appointment last week baby the doctor told me I have already thinned out a substantial amount so baby could be here soon!
* Seeing my family at the wedding.
* Wearing yoga pants to work 2 days last week! It was wonderful!

Worst Moment of the Week:
* Trying to get to my car and scrape the ice off in the ice storm yesterday was a task. I almost went on by behind a few times.
Miss Anything:

* Feeling good in my own skin. I am busting out of all of my shoes and clothes. I could live in yoga pants and go barefoot till January if it were acceptable.

Food Cravings:

* I'm craving peppermint hot coco!

Anything make you queasy:

* Nasty acid reflux makes my stomach sick most nights.

Have you started to show? I swear since Thanksgiving I've become a whale.

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms: Swelling, trouble sleeping, soreness in my hips and nether region all the time.

Workouts: Not a thing. I swear getting up out of a seated position or laying down in a work out. Ever see the French Bulldog puppy video trying to roll over? Yep, that is me!!

Mood: I'm still really hormonal. I feel like crying all the time, for good reasons and bad reasons. My emotions are cray-cray

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! We are getting so close!
* The holiday season!

Maternity Clothes: Living in leggings (thank you Old Navy Black Friday Sale) and its not a pretty sight!

Stretchmarks: Nothing yet. I hope it stays that way!

Rings on or off? Haha, these monster fingers haven't seen a ring in weeks!

Bellybutton in or out? Can it be in between?!?!

This week I:
* Danced like a champ at the wedding. I'm still suffering though. All that extra weight is not good for the knees. More importantly, I had a blast dancing.

* Went to a Christmas concert and baby bounced the entire time. Baby loves music!

Baby Update:

* Baby is doing great.
* Baby seems to be anxious about meeting us! May come sooner than we think. We will know more tomorrow!

Bumpdate- 34 Weeks

I hate this picture, a lot!
I thought taking a picture near the big tree might make me look not so huge but I was wrong.
I can barely see the darn tree!
How Far along: 34 weeks and 4 days.

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a cantaloupe!

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 32 but my doctor says I'm right on target for my body type.

Sleep:  I don't know what sleep is any longer. I just hope it preps me (in some way) for the arrival of baby. The fatigue is hitting me hard. I can barely keep my eyes open most days.

Best moment of the week:

* We set up the tree and all of our holiday decorations.

Worst Moment of the Week:
* Complete exhaustion.
* Swelling!

Miss Anything:
* Feeling good in my own skin. I am busting out of all of my shoes and clothes. I could live in yoga pants and go barefoot till January if it were acceptable.

Food Cravings:
* I've been craving some red meat. Thanks anemia

Anything make you queasy:
* Due to being anemic I get dizzy really easy and that makes me queasy most days.

Have you started to show? Oh yes!

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms: Swelling, trouble sleeping, soreness in my hips and nether region when I sleep.

Workouts: Not a thing.

Mood: I'm still really hormonal. I feel like crying all the time, for good reasons and bad reasons. My emotions are cray-cray

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! We are getting so close!

Maternity Clothes: Living in leggings and its not a pretty sight!

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 31 but my doctor says I'm right on target for my body type.

Sleep:  Is still not good. I'm still on the couch and I refuse to even try the bed at this point. Does any one else get extremely stiff while sleeping? It's usually my hips and back but also, no matter how much water I drink, my fingers stiffen. I can barely move them when I wake up.

Best Moment of the week:

* I love nesting. My house is looking so neat and clean. I'm cooking up a storm. It's nice

Worst Moment of the Week:
* We had come up with a girl's name and my dad basically begged me not to name our baby Willow. Back to the drawing board???
* Swelling!
* Finding out I have to switch my insurance as my husband's job will start a surcharge for spouses as of January 1st (10 days before baby is due) If I don't switch it will cost us another $380 a month for just me. Plus his insurance is so much better than mine.

Miss Anything:
* I've been crazing a dirty martini like nobody's business!

Food Cravings:
* Nothing out of the ordinary but I am ready for some turkey!!!

Anything make you queasy:

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms: Swelling has come back, trouble sleeping, soreness.

Workouts: Not a thing.

Mood: I'm still really hormonal. Bogart had the pukes the other night and it reduced me to tears. I felt so terrible for him. We were both up at 4am Sunday. He was puking and I was
crying!

Looking forward to:

*Baby's legs seem to sitting in my ribs!
* Baby's eyes are open!
* Lots of brain development.

Sweater: Hopes Collection, last year, non maternity
Top: Motherhood Maternity
Jeans: Although not shown are Old Navy, non maternity with a belly band

How Far Along: 32 weeks and 4 days.

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 30.

Sleep: Is still not good. I'm basically on the couch every night. I tried the bed for the first time in 2 weeks and it was a disaster. I hurt a lot in the bed and my snoring kept my husband awake. It is back to couch sleeping. It has it's upside. I get to watch Hallmark Christmas movies at 3am when I can't sleep.

Best Moment of the week:

* We found a girls name.If you missed it yesterday here it is.
* The girls at work surprised me with a baby shower on Friday! They did such a lovely job! They got all the children to color favors and  write me little messages on diapers!

* We finished putting the cradle together. It's the cradle Brian's mom got when she had his older sister. All of Brian's cousins and even our nephews slept in it. Lots of generations of babies have slept here.

* Baby moves so much. I'm loving every minute of it. It wakes me up at night and most nights I sit up and talk to baby as he or she moves! It's our special time together.
* My best friend and I had a great girl's day on Saturday. We took time for ourselves and got a pedi. My feet feel so much better than they did.
Worst Moment of the Week:
* I really can't complain. The sleep stinks and I'm tired a lot but I'm realizing there isn't much time left in this pregnancy and I need to savor it.

Miss Anything:
* I have had a strong craving for a dirty martini with blue cheese olives lately. That has been my go to drink for years and I'm missing the salty, yummy vodka this week.

Food Cravings:
*I'm craving food in general. Last week I ate so much at lunch. A personal pizza, english muffin and 3 cookies. I was a beast! It was ridiculous!
*Oh and I can't get enough chocolate almond milk.

Anything make you queasy:
I have woken up several times this last week with a horrible reflux. I feel like I'm vomitting in my mouth. So gross. So sorry for the overshare. At first it was only when I would eat ice cream. It happens all the time now.

Have you started to show? Oh yes!

Gender: Surprise baby!!!

Symptoms:

*Swelling has come back with a vengence!!! My feet were actually swollen around the tops of my socks the other night. It was pretty funny to look at! The nurse at work thinks I'm not drinking enough water in combination with wearing the belly band or jeans that cut into my tummy. (Baby is so low I can't find pants that fit low enough with out falling off my butt and showing off crack)
*NESTING like a nut case!

Workouts: Just walking and moving. The more I move the less stiff I get and the less I hurt.

Mood: I'm still really hormonal. I have noticed it's less crying and a little more yelling. Oops!

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! We are getting so close!
* Thanksgiving with family, turkey and all the fixings!

Maternity Clothes: A good mix of maternity pants. I've been really lucky to still wear non maternity shirts and not have to invest in a lot of new pieces. I'm actually wearing my belly band with non maternity jeans as well.

Stretchmarks: Nothing yet. Thank goodness!

Rings on or off? Depends on the day.

Bellybutton in or out? Still holding strong as an in!

This week I:
* Went to a charity event with my husband. It was nice getting out.

* Treated myself to a pedi!
* Finished our thank you cards.
* Finished our Christmas cards. We won't be sending them out till after Thanksgiving.

Baby Update:

* Baby's head is still very low but we are monitoring closely. I have an appointment on Thursday to see if anything has changed.
* Baby has fingernails, toenails, and hair is forming on his or her head.
* Baby moves around all the time and especially late at night while I sleep. It usually wakes me up because my tummy shakes so much!
* I've noticed baby moves more when music plays or when I lay on my left side. We have played lots Pandora Lullaby station for baby. Baby loves it!!! So does mommy. I fell asleep singing "Rainbow Connection" the other night.

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of a pineapple. That just seems sooooo big.

Total Weight Gain: Ugh, I'm up 30.

Sleep:  Is still not good. I'm basically on the couch every night. It's much easier for me to maneuver myself on the couch than it is in bed. I've also been snoring like crazy due to the extra weight and congestion.

Best Moment of the week:

* Everything is feeling better these days. The last few weeks were tough but i'm feeling so much better these days.
* Spending time and savoring my time spent with my husband this weekend.

Worst Moment of the Week:
* I really can't complain. The sleep stinks and I'm tired a lot but I'm realizing there isn't much time left in this pregnancy and I need to savor it.

Miss Anything:
* Not really.

Symptoms: Swelling has come back, trouble sleeping, soreness.

Workouts: Not a thing.

Mood: I'm still really hormonal.

Looking forward to:

* Meeting baby! We are getting so close!

Maternity Clothes: A good mix of maternity pants. I'm still loving non maternity dresses over leggings. My best friend gave me her maternity jeans from Old Navy. Since baby is riding so low all my maternity jeans were cutting into my belly and it was so uncomfortable. Her jeans are amazing and I can't stop wearing them.

Stretchmarks: Nothing yet. Thank goodness!

Rings on or off? Depends on the day.

Bellybutton in or out? Still holding strong as an in!

This week I:
* Returned our MamaRoo and we have been playing with it since. We love the iPhone adapter and we have already started playing lullabies on Pandora.

* We purchased our first batch of reusable diapers. We are excited to try them out. I've read a lot of great articles on all the benefits of using them.

* Unrelated to pregnancy I'm already addicted to Hallmark movies. I'm already in the Christmas spirit.

Baby Update:

* Baby's head is still very low but at my appointment last week he is happy that the baby hasn't dropped any more.
* Baby's senses are all working together.
* Lots of brain and nerve growth.
* Baby moves around all the time and especially late at night while I sleep. It usually wakes me up because my tummy shakes.
* I've noticed baby moves more when music plays or when I lay on my left side.
