LIFE, LOVE AND A SPLASH OF SOME GLAMOUR

Honeymoon...

If you have been following my wedding planning journey you probably already know I'm getting married in a few short weeks and have yet to plan my honeymoon. Yep, I am a complete failure.

To be honest the whole process was stressing me out. I really have a terrible fear of flying but I'm feeling pressured to fly. Originally I was set on a cruise. Brian's most favorite place to go is Bermuda so we had planned a 7 night cruise out of New York to Bermuda. Three days out at sea and the rest in Bermuda.

With lots of pressure I felt pushed to fly to Bermuda. Its only a 2 hour flight which in normal people terms is short...For me the lunatic its like a lifetime. I only wish I could make up my mind.

While I can't decide I'll just have to dream of some beautiful Bermuda spots like this one...

The more I look the more I fall in love.

Have any of you been to Bermuda? Cruise or fly? What are the hot spots?
Where have you went on your honeymoons?
How did you decide?

Thanks guys!
Happy work week!
Did you guys go immediately after the wedding?

It looks GORGEOUS there! Would you be as scared to fly knowing your brand new husband is right there with you? :) Good luck making your decision!

You shouldn't feel pressured to have the honeymoon right away if you don't want to ... we didn't go on our honeymoon until 5 months after the wedding. I am a nervous traveler too, so don't feel bad. What about the Amtrak to Miami or something? :) or Newport, RI? But I will say, take some time off and go somewhere just the 2 of you ... a B&B for the weekend, something. I wish I had planned a little mini weekend getaway right after our wedding. We just went back to work 3 days later, which was not fun.

I haven't been to Bermuda, but I definitely recommend St. Maarten. I also have a really short tolerance when it comes to flying!

I've never been to Bermuda, but it looks gorgeous! Don't feel pressured to fly. Your honeymoon is meant to be fun and relaxing, not stressful. Just do whatever makes you happy. I would love to take a second honeymoon right now, and we haven't even been married a year yet!

Happy planning!

We did the cruise to Bermuda out of NY. It was awesome, highly, highly recommend.

P.S. We went about a week later. Also don't get sucked in by paying for excursions. Do your own thang!

congratulations on the upcoming wedding and marriage! i am sorry that you don't feel that great about flying. i can understand that. My hubby and I did go immediately after our wedding but looking back we wish that we had waited. We had to move from SC to NC after our honeymoon so i think that was just looming over our heads the whole time. it would have been nice to just put it off and then really treat it as a vacation. also, who says you have to fly?? i would encourage you to go and get away and just relax with your spouse. no one says that you have to fly somewhere for it to be a true vacation! good luck with the planning!

Bermuda look like such a wonderful place! You'll have such a great time!

We didn't have much money for our honeymoon so we just stayed in a cabin for 3 days... And it was bliss.hoping for a "big" trip for our 5 yr anniversary though.

Good luck with all your planning!

Saying I do said...

I've never been but it sounds amazing!Honeymoon planning stressed me out too and I largely left that in the hands of my husband to deal with...you'll have a great time and it'll all get planned. I can't believe how close it is till your wedding!
