Oh How Pinteresting- Wedding Wednesday

I have totally been slacking on wedding planning lately. Countdown is LESS THAN 5 MONTHS!!! AHHH! I'm so freaking nervous about EVERYTHING. My newest task is finding a style and flavor of my cake!!! We have found our baker but now we are in need of a cake. We are going with something fun and colorful. Something small for our budget and a sheet cake for slicing. We are also doing a dessert bar or a cannoli station that is included with our catering package.
Here are just a few that caught my interest.

Today I'm linking up with Michelle

Check out Marie's Cake Creations. Marie will be baking and decorating our cake.

These cakes below are all Marie's creations!

So, what type of cakes did you chose?
Traditional or non traditional?
Most important what flavors???
YUM!

I love the first cake! We did cupcakes for ours and they had chocolate covered strawberries on each of the cupcakes. Some were chocolate cake vanilla frosting and vise versa. Wanted to give everyone an option & they were sooo good!

We went way non traditional & had pie for our wedding! We both aren't huge cake fans, so it was a great option for us.

Although, I must admit, I love looking at all the beautiful cakes out there! = )

Beautiful cakes.

I did a non-traditional cake, and it was exactly us (except it was in the wrong colors). We did 4 different flavors, which included lemon curd, strawberries and cream, almond paste, and chocolate. It was all so yummy. The cake tasting was one of the best parts of the wedding planning.
