It's pretty large considering the doctor could see it with in seconds of me laying back. It has been painful for me and my sleep is terrible. i can't bend down to even take off my pants with out major pain. The doctor ordered to take things easy. It's difficult to give up most responsibilities around the house but I have to be safe for baby and I. It's been tough. I actually cried last night trying to put my pajamas on. On top of that I have a wicked cold. I'm knocked out!

Have you started to show? Oh boy I have but everyone still says I'm carrying so small. I think I just look very bloated.

Symptoms: Swollen ankles/feet, hernia :(

Workouts: I've been doing as little as possible considering how much I'm hurting.

Mood: The hernia and lack of sleep have taken it's toll on me. Just staying positive! Although I hurt I am fine and baby is doing excellent.

Looking forward to: Going to an Autumn festival this weekend with my mom and all the prep for my baby shower!

Maternity Clothes: A good mix of maternity pants and non maternity tops!

*  Caught a cold :(

This Weekend...

What a fantastic fall weekend we had. A weekend like this past one goes down in the record book as one of the greats!

Friday started off pretty great considering I took the day off and spent the day treating myself to new shoes, a hair color and cut, followed up with some crafting for our baby shower! I spent most of the day alone and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The best part was crafting Friday night while watching Steel Magnolias. I just adore that movie!

Saturday we were guest at my best friend Lindsey's wedding. It was such a fantastic day. We were so honored to celebrate such a beautiful day with amazing friends.

On Sunday we woke up early and spent our day in the apple orchard where we spent our first date and the spot of our engagement. Visiting Applewood Orchard is my most favorite day of the year. We visit Applewood every year and take lots of pictures. This year seemed a little extra special with a baby on the way. Five years later and its nice to see how far we have come.

Happies and Crappies

The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

HAPPIES

- I'm off today!!! YAY, for 3 days weekends.

- Getting my hair done today! It really needs some love. I just have a feeling I want to do something drastic BUT I'll probably contain myself!

- My best friend is getting married tomorrow. I can not wait to celebrate with my love!!!

- Hoping to apple pick this weekend. We went last weekend and it was so crowded we couldn't get in the orchard. I love living in apple country but hate that it gets so crowded most locals can't enjoy it!

- Saw Baby G again this week. Baby is growing strong. Heartbeat is at 138. Baby is kicking and moving like crazy. I can feel it all the time. I have even seen my tummy shake. This little one is cray-cray!

- Baby knows my voice. During the sonogram whenever I spoke the baby moved his/her head almost like baby was looking for me. I could see his/her eyelids flutter back and forth too.

CRAPPIES

- This week I started getting terrible pains in my stomach. I got worried there was a problem with baby. I suffered through it for 4 days after my doctor thought it was something to do with my muscles strain. Turns out I have a hernia. It has been agonizing because I've really popped the passed 2 weeks but baby is perfectly fine. Hopefully it doesn't get bigger as baby grows and me and baby stay safe and healthy! Until baby is born all I can do is use a hot water bottle and Tylenol (I'm going to avoid the Tylenol as much as I can)

- I have not been able to sleep. I've been waking up at 3 and 4 each day. It has made me so cranky but I'm trying my best not to have a mega meltdown but I feel like I'm on the verge at any minute.

Wilmington, NC

While on our vacation we stayed about 40 minutes outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. Wilmington is a small port city off the Cape Fear Coast with a charming history. Wilmington is probably known for a large amount of movies and tv shows filmed there. Two of my favorite including One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek. The shops and restaurants are another favorite of ours. Just a bit of advice. If you are in Wilmington and love jewelry The Polka Dot Flamingo is the place to be! I now have several pieces of jewelry I purchased there and they are my most complimented pieces. Inexpensive too!!!

Brian and I visited Wilmington 3 years ago and we made it a point of going back this year and spending an entire day there. It's so easy to get caught up at one of their outside eateries while watching the river.

The last time we visited we spent most of our time enjoying the sites on land. We took a horse and carriage ride through the historic homes and we did a walking Hollywood tour. This time around we got on board a catamaran and enjoyed the sites up and down the river.

It's funny how I look at these pictures and the pictures from 2 years back. So much has changed in our lives but I love the memories made.

25 Week Bumpdate

What I'm wearing:
Shirt and leggings- Liz Lange for Target
Cardigan- Target
Am I the only momma to be who finds taking these weekly pictures awkward? I guess because its usually 9 at night, I'm exhausted and my husband has zero patience. I always look so uncomfortable. I never know how to stand. It's just strange for me...

But moving on...

How Far Along: 25 weeks and 4 days

Baby is the size of: Baby G is the size of cauliflower! Baby should be about 15. to 2.5 pounds.

Total Weight Gain: I've hit 18 pounds.

Sleep: Is pretty good. I've had some issues with leg cramps and some pulled muscles that make it very hard to move.

Best Moment of the week:

* Lots of movement and it happens all the time!

* Our baby's dresser is so close to being finished. It looks so beautiful.

Worst Moment of the Week:
* Work was exhausting.

* I had to call the doctor on Saturday because I was having terrible pains in my stomach. Luckily, he believed it was a muscle strain as I had no other symptoms but I am in some real pain. I've had such a great pregnancy I hate to complain about anything but I am feeling pretty sore for the past few days.

* Saturday I was told to rest more and stop bending and moving as much as I have been. This is very difficult for me. I hate having other people to everything for me. It's been painful.

Miss Anything:
* Being able to shave my legs and paint my toes with out difficulty

Food Cravings: SUGAR!!! It's terrible but its all I've wanted.

Anything make you queasy: Nope

Have you started to show? Oh boy I have but everyone says I'm carrying so small.

Gender: Surprise baby!!! Everyone had been guessing boy but some people are changing to girl lately.

Symptoms: Muscle strain in my abdomen and it hurts!!! Flat, swollen feet. I actually think they have grown because my shoes are so very tight.

Workouts: I've been doing some walking but not much else.

Mood: I had a really rough week at work. It was exhausting. I put a lot of extra hours in. It just knocked me out.

Looking forward to: My best friend's wedding on Saturday and our baby shower in 2 weeks!

Maternity Clothes: A good mix of maternity pants and non maternity tops!

Stretchmarks: Nothing yet. I've been using Mama Bee by Burt's Bees religiously.

Rings on or off? Both are still on.

Bellybutton in or out? Still in.

This week I:
*  Enjoyed the cooler weather.

*  Bought a couple of potential shower outfits.

*  Am stressing about her glucose test next week.

Baby Update:

* Baby is bouncing around like a crazy person.

* Baby thinks soccer practice starts at 3am. Good times.
