Fill iIn The Blank

This was one hell of a depressing week. I'm really glad its over. This week I found out a child I work with had another stroke and will be out of program for a while. The same day I found out that one of the girls I work with lost her 28 year old sister very suddenly. It has been depressing to say the least. I just want something positive. I want to hear happy news!
I hope that your week has been a bit more uplifting.

1.   A nervous habit I have is     biting my lips. I always bite on my upper lip when I'm nervous. I have a permanent indent in my upper lip.

2.   Something that makes me sad is   everything going on at Penn State and the reaction of some people. So very sad   .

3.  Today I am thankful for    Friday being so darn close. I finally have nothing planned but hanging out with great friends and the fact that Thanksgiving and family are so close   .

4. My favorite room in my house is    my living room. My couch is so cozy and warm. All I need is a ceiling fan I like and a coffee table .

5.  I can't stand    talking to people who do no respond or listen when I'm talking to them.

6.  If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would    probably put some of it towards the wedding. Maybe even get myself a facial or a massage for some relaxation.

7.  The last person I hung out with was    my mom last weekend. Before she flew out to GA for my cousin's wedding we spent the day shopping and went out for dinner.

I hope you enjoy your weekend

Absolutely OBSESSED

Recently I have been obsessed with with Mangiacotti products. Their earth friendly products made it very easy for me to fall in love. A few weekends ago mom and I went shopping at the most adorable store, The Chocolate Goat.

This store carries the cutest things, including amazing chocolates, a huge selection of Vera Bradley, Bronnely soaps, specialty teas and my most favorite things, Mangiacotti!

I seriously could buy everything they have to offer.

A few of my favorites are the Lavendar Air Freshener.
I use it in the car. It has a soft scent and doesnt make me sneeze like all the others. It smells AMAZING.

I also love the Lemon Verbena Kitchen Soap. The bottle is fantastic but the scent is even better. My entire kitchen smells amazing.

(Not a sponsored post. Just absolutely love this stuff.)

Tunes Tuesday...The 90's

Music!

Linking up again this week with Krystal Alot of 90's music reminds me of highschool. A lot of these were blasting in my 1994 Chevy Corsica those years when I thought it was sooooo cool to smoke and speed around town. Turning the music up right before I pulled up to a group of people! LOSER!!! (but we all did that at some point, right???)

Doesn't every 30 something feel this way or is it just me???

Goo Goo Dolls, Iris
I remember crying to this song when I was in high school. Oh high school heart ache. LOL

Matchbox 20, 3am.
I still love Rob Thomas! This was probably one of my favorite albumns in high school.

Barenaked Ladies, Old Apartment
I remember seeing them at The Hard Rock
I was hooked!

Arrested Development, Tennesee
Where the hell did they go after this song?
Fell off the face of the Earth...Sad

Fiona Apple, Crimminal
Again, where the hell did she go???

Natalie Merchant and the 10,000 Maniacs. I LOVED them!

Bush, Glycerein
Oh you are still so delicious Mr. Rosedale! YUMMY

Rest in peace Heavy D

Color Blind is probably one of my most favorite songs of all time.

I could go on forever but here are some honorable mentions.

Sublime, What I Got
Foo Fighters, My Hero
Eve 6, Inside Out
The Notorious BIG, Big Poppa
Harvey Danger, Flagpole Sitta

Wow, thinking some of these songs are over 15 years old makes me feel really old today. This was by far my favorite week.

Have a great day everyone

Softball- Fall League

We play in a co-ed softball league. I've been playing in the league for 10 years and I introduced B to the league 3 years ago. When we were dating he would wake up super early just to come and watch me play every Sunday morning. I love doing it together. I like to competition and I have made some amazing friends. Sunday was the last game of the season so I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. We lost in the first round of the playoffs, boo! We weren't very good this year but we had fun and we met a lot of new friends. Even one who is going to make our wedding cake! We are so excited to be working with her. Will post about her cakes soon!
Here are a few shots of our team through the years.

Fill in the Blank Friday!

Happy Friday peeps! Hope you are enjoying today especially if have a 3 day weekend. I'm off today but have to work tomorrow. Boo! On Sunday I'm looking forward to softball playoffs! Lets hope we win a few!

Linking up with Lauren

1.   My favorite new blog of the moment is     Hmmm, right now I'm liking The Paper Mama for her 50 days of DIY. Lots of good Christmas gift ideas.

2.   Something I am thankful for is   my nephew and being able to play with him all day yesterday. We read books, played trucks, sang songs. It was lovely   .

3.  Something that made me laugh this week was    our nephew came over looked in my ear and said "wax?" then walked over to B's ear and said  "hair", he also told his mom she needed a salad!

4. An item that is currently on my wish list is    hmmm, Philosophy Amazing Grace  .

5.  I am excited about    having Friday off to do nothing and just relax.

6.  If I were a color I would be     green. Don't really know why maybe because it remands me of the spring and fresh starts .

7.  My favorite way to spend a chilly fall day is by    enjoying a coffee. Going on a walk or hike and enjoying some antique shopping .

It's OK Thursday

Hello 2 extra days off! I want to completely relax and have a few days to myself.

Its Ok Thursdays

-To be disgusted and horrified about what is going on at Penn State. And the rioting last night. Those poor children. I ache for them :(

-To be ashamed of our culture and how so many people think football is bigger then the morals of society. Ray Lewis? Ben Roethlisberger? Michael Vick? As long as you play well we treat you like a god or some hero. Lets remember who our heroes really are.

-To have blisters on all of my toes because my shoes at the wedding last weekend were just to perfect to take off!

-To really want to waste some cash on any type of massage. I need some relaxation! I run at 100mph all the time.

-To have finished all of my Christmas cards already! Makes me feel so accomplished. I can enjoy the holidays so much more when there is a lot less to do!

-To be stressing out about Thanksgiving and some family issues.

-To not like the way some people cook or bake and be concerned that they may be making my favorite part of Thanksgiving.

-To really hope The Office gets better this season. Not so good and I'm a little disappointed.

-To be a little weirded out about this Duggar thing. Really, she's been pregnant for 13 years in a row. Can not be good for ones health or the health of her children.

-To get excited about Wednesdays. My favorite blog day AND American Horror Story.

So I'm going to get this day started. Maybe a hike in the woods? Some wedding stuff?

Have a fantastic day.

Oh How Pinteresting-Home Edition

Is it seriously Wednesday ALREADY!?!?
Three day work weeks always fly on by.

I'm linking up with Michelle.

With all this wedding planning I feel like I've ignored the decorating aspect of owning a home. Little by little, with the help of Pinterest I've been able to make small changes and fun additions. Can't wait till my shower and the fun house gifts that may come with it. Whenever it may be because my girls are doing such a good job keeping that secret.

Something like this would be perfect in our spare bathroom. Love it.

This is fantastic because I have similar Love and Laugh signs and they are super boring. I'd love to add the frames!

Maybe someday I'll have a dream house with an entry way this pretty!

So crisp. I love these colors. These are our master bedroom colors.

So pretty and I usually hate these darn grates!

Love this!!!! So fun for over our bed or couch.

Love this! Nothing says home like some cute puppies too!

Hope that gives you a smile!

In other wedding news, our potential officiant was voted back into office yesterday! Check that off my list! I love when I can do that.

Happy Wednesday Beauties!

Animal Kingdom

I feel a little like I'm living in Animal Kingdom these days. You may remember my story from last week. Well I have a new one for ya. Yesterday morning while at my parent's house I saw these amazing creatures.

What are they?
Mountain Lions?
Bob Cats?
What do you guys think?

Grainy picture but the only one we got.
My parent's only live 60 miles north of NYC so the likelihood of either is a bit strange. It was scary to say the least. There are so many children and dogs in the area. We called the police to inform. They have now gotten the Dept. of Environmental Control to look into it. They seemed very large to be a 3 ft bobcat and the tail looked a bit longer.  What I heard late last night from a local biologist is that they are bobcats who have a den very close to my parent's development.  Kinda cool? I sure hope he is right because Mt Lions are a little to scary for me. Apparently bob cats are harmless. Lets hope so! My mom and I walked the dog with baseball bats last night. Just in case.

Besides the crazy animal adventure. We won both our softball games yesterday. That means we are headed to the playoffs next week.

Happy Monday. Here is to a very short work week! B and I are off on Thursday and Friday!

SOS- My Best Friend's Wedding

Yesterday my oldest and dearest friend Jaclyn got married. It was such a lovely, fall day. She looked amazing. She was definitely glowing. She was as calm as could be. I was amazing at how calm she was. I was a mess. I always cry at weddings. Especially when I see some one I love so happy.

I wore two outfits. One for the church and one for the reception.

Linking up with Mandy.
Here is what I wore:

Me and momma
How beautiful is she?!?!
Sweater: Old Navy
Dress: Gap
End of season sale $6
Gray Belt and black shoes (Not pictured): NY and Co

The glare stinks but I'm pretty happy with the way my body is shaped in this one.

I love the ruffles on the dress although I don't think you can really see them.
I'm super self conscious. I feel like they look like chub or fat rolls.
Am I ridiculous???

Me
Dress: Lord and Taylor
Brown shoes: Target
Handbag: Nine West
Earrings and Bracelet: Forever21
Shawl: H&M

Brian
Pants: JC Penny
Shirt: Claiborne
Tie: Carlos Santana for Kohls

What a wonderful day.
I'll elaborate more on the day in the coming week.
Happy weekend
xoxo
