Bumpdate-Week 14, 15

I'm back. I really wasn't anywhere in particular. I just took a week off from life. At some point I'm sure I'll post about the things Brian and I did. I think I'm still mentally stuck on vacation.

Here is a little bumpdate for ya!
Remember when I said I would be bad at this? Well, I am. I just hit 16 weeks yesterday. Just a week behind....

Happies and Crappies

The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

Happies

- Vacation starts at 6:30 tonight. Next week both Brian and I are off. We are not going away but instead we will be spending some time together.

- Brian's birthday was a huge success. He was surprised and had a blast!

- I got to see the baby again this week during genetic testing. Everything looks great. The baby moves like a crazy person, obviously like mommy! I also heard the heartbeat again. Nice and loud!

Crappies

- I have not been sleeping well.  I can't seem to shut off my brain.

- I had a major hormone meltdown over dinner last night. I yelled, cried and then ate 2 sandwiches.

- Work. Everything about it. I think it makes me sad and I really think its what keeps me up at night.

What are your happies and crappies this week?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Bumpdates

I can be pretty certain I will not be good about taking bump pictures and updating my pregnancy. It's worth a shot though. I combined weeks 11 and 12 (I'm currently in week 14 and I already missed week 13) Yep, that's me off to a really crappy start!

How Far Along:  11 Weeks!

Baby is the size of:  Fig

Total weight gain: Not sure. Getting on the scale this Friday at my appointment. We shall see.

Sleep: Up a few times each night to pee. I've been up between 3-5. Once I wake up I can't fall back to sleep quickly.

Best Moment of the week: I told my side of the family on Father's Day.

Worst Moment of the week: I gag at everything and I mean EVERYTHING! It's awful!

Have you told Family and Friends:
Told my family.

Miss Anything:
I miss wine and sushi

Food Cravings:
Nothing really. I eat when I can and what I can.

Coffee, the thought of it makes me want to throw up. Meat on the bone, and anything hot.

Have you started to show?
Just a tiny bit but I feel HUGE.

Gender: Not yet.

Symptoms:
I'm tired all the time, constant gagging, bloated. TMI!?!? Sorry, not sorry.

Workouts:
Taking it easy still. Walking is about it.

: I'm worried, all the time. I try not to stress about it but I worry. Hoping to hear the heartbeat this Friday.

Looking Forward to:
Not feeling fat. I'd rather look pregnant.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet but I did put on my belly band yesterday.

Reading:
I haven't had time to read anything. I get home from work, eat dinner and fall asleep before 8:30.

Milestones: Almost fully formed! Bones are beginning to harden and there is some movement although I can't feel anything yet.

How Far Along:  12 Weeks!

Baby is the size of:  Plum

Total weight gain: 5 pounds on the scale last week but my doctor thinks its not all baby or bloat. I've been having issues but I'm positive you don't want to hear about all of that.

Sleep: Up a few times each night to pee. I've been sleeping a bit better this week.

Best Moment of the week: I heard the heartbeat. It was quick and fast but it was there.

Worst Moment of the week: I still gag at everything but things are going great.

Have you told Family and Friends:
Told my family and friends but we are waiting till Brian's family is all together to tell them.

The idea of anything hot makes me gag.

Have you started to show?
Just a little. I think I just look fat.

Surprise!

So I haven't been a good blogger lately. For the last 2 weeks my work schedule changed and between being exhausted all the time and not sleeping well I had a little surprise party I was planning. I've been sneaking around since March planning a surprise 30th birthday party for Brian!

The best part was he was SHOCKED! He thought I was picking him up from work and we were going to his cousin's college graduation party. When we pulled up and saw his Ghostbuster themed party he sat in the car he repeatedly said "What is this?"We decorated the backyard with Ghostbuster movie posters. Our colors were red, black and white. I printed out a bunch of pictures of Brian when he was little and all of his favorite moments and hung them in our tents.

As you can see pregnancy has not been good to my body. It looks like I've gained weight everywhere including my arms, boobs and all 3 chins!

Brian's mom pulled all of his Ghostbuster toys out of the attic and put them on display.

It was 93 degrees so just about everyone enjoyed the pool.

It was a fantastic day. I love seeing my husband so happy. His entire family came to the party which made it the perfect time to announce our 14 week old surprise!
Our family is so over joyed and that makes us very happy too!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

We don't have much planned for his special day. All he really wants to do is work out with his friend.

I have a little something special up my sleeve. We will celebrate with a lot of fun stuff planned in 2 weeks when we are on vacation.

Happy Birthday Brian. You have enriched my life everyday. I an't wait for all of the amazing things to come for us and I can't wait to see you become a daddy. You are my world!

Newlyweds- The First Year

I'm a reality junkie. I've never been to shy to admit it anyway. On any given night I can be found watching any kind of Bravo crap; Long Island Princesses, any and all Real Housewives and so on. I love me so Andy Cohen! My newest guilty pleasure is Newlyweds- The First Year.

Newlyweds follows 4 couples from day 1 to day 365 of marriage. We follow the couples through financial issues, pregnancy, miscarriage, family issues, intimacy issues and the regular ups and downs of marriage. I think I found it so interesting because Brian and I had just celebrated our 1st anniversary and most of these issues were very real to us and things we had experienced although at the time I thought we were the only newlyweds to experience them. I went into marriage thinking none of these things would be an issue for us. Call it oblivious if you'd like because I think I was. The first year of marriage was not all sunshine and flowers for us. We went through a lot and I have chronicled most of it here. I can't imagine it being broadcast on national television yet it was in a way refreshing to see we weren't the only ones. During our first year of marriage I thought many times to myself "Is this the way it's supposed to be?" There was a lot of self doubt during our first year.

With all this being said the majority of couples Bravo has followed are borderline annoying. John and Kathryn, a Long Island, NY couple, get pregnant on their honeymoon and suddenly John turns into a mega jerk. Besides having her a stay at home wife and giving her an allowance he continually calls his pregnant wife fat and I think the word "whale" was used. He's a ass.   While we are on the topic of bing and ass we can chat about Kim and Alaska. They are a NY/LA couple and Alaska is; you guessed it, a jerk. He believes he is the king of their home. He makes all final decisions and Kim is not allowed to make any of them. He blames his father for his behavior. Seriously?!?! You're in your 30's, grow up! Tina and Tarz are wacky. When Tina had a miscarriage this season my heart broke for her. She recently lost her mom before her wedding and the added heartbreak was so unfair. Jeff and Blair are also pretty wacky but by far they are my favorite couple. Blair is the funniest guy! He cracks me up with his one liners. Monday was the season finale which I slept right through, thanks to pregnancy I sleep like a rock! I think the show is worth a shot to catch a marathon because you know Bravo loves some marathons.

More On Little Baby G

We are having a baby :)

First off, I must thank everyone who left some love here and sent some lovely wishes. Brian and I are so over the moon with excitement but we are both very nervous so all the love and positive wishes really help me feel a little more at ease. Plus, I heard a loud but fast heartbeat on Friday. That was amazing! It's the milestones like that one that make me feel more secure with what is happening to us.

So here is a bit more on Baby G.

I guess it all started when I was working out like a nut. Towards the end of April my trainer measured me and my inches went up. I was so ticked off but couldn't figure out why. My chest and hips had increased and I just brushed it off. That weekend Brian and I went on our 1st anniversary mini vacation. While Brian and I were on our mini vacation I was feeling a bit off. I couldn't place it but I knew I didn't feel like myself. Once we arrived home I asked Brian to pick me up a pregnancy test  while he was out. I wasn't late but I just had a feeling. I had lost 2 pregnancies before so I do know what it feels like to feel a bit different. So when I was a day late I took the test and had a negative result. I felt defeated. After losing 2 babies last year and trying for over 9 months a negative result broken my heart a little more each time.

Several days came and went and still not monthly visitor. After a negative result in April I wasn't going to try again a few weeks later but while having a glass of wine and catching up on trashy Bravo TV I realized I was REALLY LATE. I had a spare test in the house. I was alone and bored. Brian was working out with my best friend's husband. Took the test and those 2 little lines were bright from the very second I looked at. I immediately called my best friend, 3 times, since she didn't pick up. When I finally got a her she was thrilled but couldn't make a sound. My husband was working out with her husband at their home.

Later on that night when Brian finally returned home I was already in bed. I rolled over and just blurted out "We were having a baby". His response "wow". We are not too exciting!  Poor Brian acted and looked like a deer in the headlights for the first few weeks after that announcement. It's so nice he is finally getting comfortable with the idea of having a baby. I can understand where he is coming from as well. My best friend, and a mom of 2, congratulated us and quickly followed that up "Welcome to worrying. You will worry every second, every day for the rest of your life." I swear she is right. I worry constantly. I can't even imagine the worry after our baby is born.

I've Got A Little Surprise...

Well, it turns out I have a 12 week old surprise.

Here is our 8 week old sonogram.
I am so, so, so happy to announce that Brian and I are expecting a baby! Baby G will make his or her arrival in January! We had the pleasure of 2 sonograms in May where I was able to see a strong heartbeat both times, 172 and 167. There is even a sweet little bump!

We told our extended families this weekend on Father's Day and I felt it was time to share the wonderful news with all of you. The support I've received since started this blog, through good times and bad, has warmed my heart. I can only imagine the love and support I will feel now.

We are both over the moon with excitement and anticipation.

Can't wait to share more with you all.

This Weekend I...

- Finally posted a picture to my Instagram account. Just click that little camera on the sidebar if you'd like to follow or just look for me, MrsGargano

- Enjoyed lots of time in the sun on Saturday. It was a beautiful day. I put my feet up, enjoyed some iced tea and listened to some Pandora while catching some rays. It was one of those perfect days. I also did not use enough SPF. I'm feeling a little crispy today.

- We attended two family BBQs so we had lots of family time. We spent time with both our dad's which is always important for us. Happy belated Father's Day to all our fave daddies!

- Last minute decision to see a drive in double feature. We love the drive in! We saw Man of Steel which was AWESOME and The Hangover 3. I dosed off the last hour. It was after midnight but it was also disappointing and boring. I was so exhausted yesterday!

Hope your weekend was as lovely as mine.
Now all I have to do is conquer this work week.

Happies and Crappies

The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

HAPPIES

- It's been such a great week and it has flown by.

- This little boy made his way into the world and into my heart.

- Strawberry picking this weekend!

- Brian and I are in a really great place. Marriage is all about the peaks and valleys but it's been nice to be in a happy place for quite a while.

- I'm looking forward to the weekend. We have a busy 2 days with both our families.

- This little fur ball.

CRAPPIES

- It's been so cold and dreary. Yesterday really felt like November. I'd really like to see some sun and get some color. Pale is not working out.

- I have not been sleeping well at all. All week I've been up at least 2 hours per night. I have no idea why. I just feel so wiped out.

- My allergies will not let up. It has been 3 weeks. I sound sick but I'm not. It just feels gross.

When Did I Stop Being Fun

This week I saw a special report on when women turn into their mothers and men fully mature. Apparently by age 31 all us gals turn into our moms. Well, I'm 33 so you can only imagine I've been mom for about 2 years already. To be honest that doesn't bother me to much. What I have been bothered with since the special is I've realized I'm BORING.

I think back to a time when I loved to go to the movies, bowling, out for drinks. It wasn't that long long ago but it feels like forever. In the last few years I realized I really don't enjoy much of the "fun" things I used to enjoy. I'm much happier sitting at home on a Saturday night with my husband or having our close friends stop by. It could be I'm just feeling cheap. Maybe I just happened to like movies before they cost $13 and didn't stink. I haven't seen a good movie in a really long time anyway. I think it may have something to do with being a little burnt out too. My job is incredibly demanding. Since I work with children diagnosed with disabilities my Monday through Friday is always non spot and loud. I like the quiet departure from the noise on my weekends. Maybe my job has made me a little bitter. The last thing I want to do is listen to a screaming kid when I go out to dinner. I sometimes cringe when I walk into a restaurant and see kids running around or making tons of noise. Sorry, mommies! I'm a jerk.

I toss around the idea that I miss the days when I would spend Friday at the movies and Saturday night at the bar. I feel as if those were amazing times in my life but I don't know if I need to relive them. I'm in a different place. My partners in crime and I have all settled down. We are all married or marrying the men of our dreams. Some of them are mommies too. We enjoy watching 5 years olds practice ballet on Saturday mornings and trips to Home Depot instead of sleeping till noon. Maybe the idea of fun just changes as you age. Maybe I didn't stop being fun at all. Even if I'm still fun in a different day I do miss this girl. She was a blast, maybe slightly tipsy but I was fun and slightly crazy!

Currently...

- Went to an awesome fundraiser this weekend. Music was great and I even won some awesome stuff. Lets just say a spa day is in my near future. All for a good cause.

- This little guys made his entrance into our world very early this morning. Welcome to the world baby Michael. Can't wait to meet you tonight. Congrats to my best friend and her hubs.

- Been up since I got the text this morning. Crying with happiness. What a beautiful blessing.

- Sick and tired of cold rain and not enough sun. It's June. I'm over it.

- We are getting stuff done around here. We just re did our back deck. It feels good to get stuff done. Even if it takes forever!

- I've stuck to my no coffee, no caffeine pledge. It's been over a month. After the initial week long headache I haven't felt bad at all. I actually feel really great.

- Still suffering from nasty allergies. So annoying.

-Excited about strawberry season. Going picking this weekend.

- Got a few tricks up my sleeve. Can't wait to share them with you all.

My heart is so full of love and excitement today. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Such a Happy Day

I'm so very excited. My bestest friend is having her baby today! It's about time. She was originally due on May 30th. That little girl or boy has been very comfy up there. She is getting induced this morning so I really hope we get some results by tonight. I can't wait to snuggle that little baby.

Jaclyn and I have been best friends since high school. We have been through everything together; the good and the bad. We are as close as sisters could be. We probably know one another better than our own husbands know us. I am so very happy for her, daddy to be Michael and both of their families.

Good luck today.
Push that baby out!!!
Love you guys!!!

My Newest Guilty Pleasure- Girl Code

I can not express my love for this show. My newest guilty pleasure. I think I've seen every episode at least once because you know MTV repeats shit like it's their job. Also, being sick this weekend really allowed me to just watch TV like it was my job. If you haven't had a chance to catch it yet it's basically a all girl how to but it is HYSTERICAL. Topics include, the friend zone, jealousy, ex boyfriends, being needy, sex on the first date, shopping and many more. You know all the things I basically am, do and love.

My best friend's and I are all addicted. We text and Facebook one another with the quotes. I swear I want to be friends with all of these girls. I follow Girl Code on Twitter and I've been caught laughing out loud in public. They are all pretty fantastic. My fave has got to be Carly and Nicole, LOVE THEM. If you haven't had a chance to catch it give it a try. You may just become addicted.

This Weekend I....

This weekend I...

Wish I could be blogging about exciting stuff like hanging out in the pool, catching a tan while driving an ice cold bud light with lime. But no, that is not how my weekend went at all.

- Instead I spent this weekend  sick. Horribly, nastily, and on the couch ALL weekend sick. Started off late Thursday night, doctor's office on Friday and knocked out the rest of the time. Looks like it's another case of bronchitis. I'm having a tough time breathing and my sinuses are on fire. I was just sick back in early April. Ain't nobody got time for that.

- Being sick makes me cranky, whiny and needy. I hate it. I was such a jerk all weekend. It's been about 90 degrees and I just could not get cool even with the AC all the way down to 68. I think my cheapo husband's wallet might be crying after this weekend.

- Television this weekend was pretty terrible so I caught up on some old movies I've been wanting to watch but haven't had the time. Pitch Perfect was AWESOME. I know I'm about 6 months late on that one but it was great. I also watched He's Just Not That Into You. I'm about 4 years late on this one. I read this book years ago when I was in a relationship with a guy that was just not that into me. I loved the book. I may even have it with notes around this house. The movie was good. Nothing fantastic but just made me dislike Scarlett Johansosn a little bit more.

- I can't forget the season premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey!!!! It was awful as usual but it is such a guilty pleasure. Almost everything Bravo andAndy Cohen does is. I also followed it up with the Princesses of Long Island. I can not stress enough how HORRIBLE these women are. Ugh, I was disgusted and annoyed by them in the first 10 minutes. Won't be watching that again.

Maybe next weekend I'll have a great time and have lots of awesomeness to blog about.

What exciting or non exciting things did you do this weekend?
